Mother, Daughter and Sausage Dining Review! Final Meal - Complete 9/27!!

Mmmm I'm a big fan of Flame Tree BBQ - especially the pork sandwich. I like the spicier sauce of two that they offer.

Looks like Eilee found her happy place with that turkey leg!!! :rotfl2: Such a great photo of her gnawing on it.

I think I tried the less spicy sauce on my pork sandwich but I'm not sure why as I like a little spice sometimes! :thumbsup2 Either way, it was a great sandwich!

Yes, Eilee was in heaven with the turkey leg. Now I'm going to need to look for a place around here that serves turkey legs to make up for the one that I didn't get for her!:rotfl:

Your daughter speaks the same language as my 13 year old...who knew Nom was a word that should be used daily (and appear on at least one t-shirt worn per week) and the odd ehmergerd- is she obsessed with Ninjas,Monkeys Penguines or moustaches lol

:rotfl2::lmao: Yes! She is into ninjas, monkeys, me gusta, troll face and also the Avengers! She went crazy for the various Domo stuffed animals in the Japan store at Epcot as well. I think Japan and the UK had her favorite items. I'm so glad there is someone out there that understands! ;)

Mine sleeps with a Domo blanket that says Nom Nom Nom... I'll have to show her your dining report

We never eat at Rose & Crown (and have never fancied it). It's a bit too much like home for us. Got to admit, the food always looks good though.

If you ever make it to the UK, feel free to pop in for Sunday dinner. I make a mean roast dinner, even if I do say so myself :)

And does your DD also text nontop? :lmao:

I noticed that there were several tables full of people in Rose & Crown that definitely sounded like they were from the UK. Perhaps they were homesick?

I think I will have to plan a trip to the UK to get some awesome roast!! ;)

I'll make sure to post in my review to let you know how the AK class is! I'll try to get as much information out of my DD as I can but she usually says things like "it was really fun" or "we did lots of things".

I'm glad she made it to class!! lol. My grandson is 7, so we don't have a texting problem.....yet. :thumbsup2:

I've been following along from work, so I am sorry I am so far behind. I remember the one and only time I had a turkey leg. It was July 16. 2005. The reason I remember is because I was at Disneyland that week for the 50th birthday That afternoon, after a bunch of meets, I was starving. My daughter and I smelled the turkey legs, the rest was history.

My son in law got one two years ago. Even though we devoured it in 2005, we couldn't stand the one at WDW in 2010. :confused3: Wonderful picture
though!!!

Olivias looks awesome. My daughter and her family ate there and they really liked it also.

When I went to R&C I had fish and chips. I was so full I didn't even think about dessert. Now I wish I would have!!

Looking forward to more reviews!!

Any time honey :)

Be careful what you wish for Joh! A trip to the UK is on our bucket list, right after our Med cruise which we're doing next June. :thumbsup2

Just a little update on the YES class at AK. Eilee complained and whined the entire morning and after the class I asked her how it was and she said "OK" which I expected. But for the entire remainder of the trip (and even now) she talked about things she learned in this class. We went back to AK a few days later and she asked if we could do the safari. Throughout the whole ride she was telling me different facts about animals and such. So it's pretty obvious to me that she loved the class even though I just get an "OK". ;)

Fantastic!! My grandson is home schooled, so I hope he doesn't try to ask a billion questions, as his Mom encourages him to learn that way. (Which I love). He loves AK and the safari ride, so this seems made for him!! I love the ticket prices and the fact that Disney incorporates the classes into the parks!!

Since we are staying at AKV with a Savannah view, I hope he will tell me more about the class and the animals!! :goodvibes:

Anticipating more of your wonderful reviews and thank you so much for letting me know your daughter liked the class!!!

It was now day three and it was time to say goodbye to Coronado Springs and to make the first move to a different resort (Port Orleans Riverside in a Royal Guest Room!!). We enjoyed Coronado Springs and I really enjoyed taking a walk in the morning, it's really beautiful there. Just due to our tastes it wasn't the best for us in terms of food options. Eilee doesn't like Mexican food and we don't really like buffets...and the table service restaurant was Mexican themed, the other restaurant was a buffet and Cafe Rix was quick service but very small and didn't offer a whole lot of options. I'm very glad that I decided to get a preferred room near the main building (El Centro) because we went to the main building several times to refill our mugs and it wouldn't have been very convenient if we'd been at one of the buidings further away. We also didn't use the use pool so I can't comment on that. Here is a picture of our building. We were in Casitas 1. Our room was on the 3rd floor all the way to the left.

Checkout time was 11 am so I woke up early and decided to check another item off of my list of trip goals. To make it to rope drop! I'd be back before checkout time. Eilee didn't get to sleep in the day before due to her class so I thought I'd give her a break and let her sleep in. I told her the night before that I'd be doing this and she said that sounded great!:rotfl2:

I took the bus to MK and was there pretty early. I found a spot up front and waited. It was so cute!

After the gates opened I knew enough from reading the boards to know that Main Street Bakery would be pretty packed if I didn't get there right away. So I made my way there before I did anything! So lately I've really been trying to eat healthy and I've started working out. Vince and I are doing our first 5K at the end of this month! So I was wondering if they might have any healthy options for me there. I was happy to see that they did!
DSC00584_640x425_.jpg

They had containers of fruit, hard boiled eggs (which is my usual breakfast of choice) and yogurt parfaits with granola!!

And then this is what I ordered
DSC00586_640x425_.jpg

Oh my goodness, this cheese danish kicked the hard boiled egg's butt! It was fresh and flaky and the cheesy/custardy filling was so good  I really wanted another but I didn't feel like standing in the line again which by now was out the door.

I wandered over to Space Mountain to take a quick ride and I found this fellow standing all alone!
DSC00587_640x425_.jpg

There was no one waiting for him so I went over and made friends. By the way, my shirt is just looking strange - I am not pregnant so no rumors here!

I also saw this little guy eating a nutritious breakfast of a Cheeto!

I then decided I should get back to the room to finish getting packed up to check out and to make sure Eilee was awake. She was all showered and ready by the time I got back. We dropped off our bags at the luggage room, told them they were going to POR and off we went to Epcot!

Coming up - Our favorite meal of the trip, a DISmeet and the Royal Guest Room!!

You do not look pregnant!!

I still haven't made it in time for the rope drop show at MK. I might have to employ your same strategy and go by myself one morning.

It's vacation so you're definitely allowed to splurge on the cheese danish! :thumbsup2 That looks much better than the hard bolied egg. I love that the bird was eating a healthy breakfast too. :lmao:

The Danish looked amazing. I can't wait to see the royal rooms at POR. I hope you took pics, Tracy! :)

I think Disney has a way of changing the way you think. I've been Disneyfied! Ok, I can't blame it on Disney, I'm just weak! :rotfl:

It was pretty funny when I went by myself. There was a fellow passing out stickers to people and kids and he got to me and he said "Are you with anyone?" and I said that my teenager was still sleeping back in the room so he gave me a sticker and one for her. Then the woman next to me (who was clearly with children) said "I'm so envious of you. I wish I could get one minute of "me" time at Disney!" It was very fun actually!

I'm just going to go out of order here a little bit. Technically we went to Epcot for most of the day and then we went back to POR to check in to our Royal Guest room but we loved it so much that I'm just going to post these first. Not really dining related but I can't help myself!

Upon check in we were given a letter from Princess Tiana. Of course I don't have a photo of that, figures! The letter welcomed you to her royal guest room and the idea is that she uses this room to host her princess friends and each of them has left something special in the room. It was so cute! This letter is also printed on the table top. We walked in and my teen and I were like giddy little girls running around the room looking at all of the special touches. Here are the beds
DSC00643_640x425_.jpg

Notice the towel Mickey head with a bounceback offer sitting in the middle of it. Ugh, I soooooo wanted to call and get it but I restrained myself because I knew that I had to save for our Disney Med cruise. :sad1:

Footstool from Beauty & the Beast!

We loved this room so much. I think that it put us in an awesome mood every minute that we were in it. When we were going to bed that evening Eilee was looking at the headboard and she said "It feels like there are little bumps on this picture". And sure enough there were bumps in the picture. So I looked to the side of the headboard and there were buttons. I pressed a button and the headboard puts on a little light show!! This is a horrible picture but you get the idea.

Can you tell we liked this room? There are definitely more items in the room as well but I didn't want to overload this report with photos!

And now back to your regularly scheduled dining review!

What a gorgeous room!!!! I really miss staying at non DVC resorts when I see wonderful reports like this!

I'm thinking I may have to go to MK solo one morning to catch the Rope Drop show as well!! I so want to see it but I can't see hubby getting up that early so many days on our trip! Although he has been getting up earlier at home so anything is possible LOL!

Oh... and I love the looks of the Cheese Danish... I may need to help myself to a few of those!
