It appears that the Moteurs show will be closed when I visit DLP. I've seen the show at Disney Studios in Florida.

Is the Paris version different than the Florida one?

Is the Paris version worth watching if you've seen the Florida version?

I have not seen the Florida one however from what I understand they are the same just without the french presenters (it is in french and English). They are both choreographed by the same person,

I think that the Paris one is more special as it was something that was unique to DLP, and the setting of the show is European.( well not france)

I would say its wort seeing as I would go and see the MGM one when I have seen the WDSstudios one.

As you have seen the MGM one than you don't need to feel disappointed that its not on.

They are almost identical, except the accents. As you have seen the one in WDW then you won't have missed out. Now I'm typing this, did they have Herbie in WDW?

I was just wondering myself about herbie! :goodvibes

95% of the show is the same. However...

When I saw the show at WDW, they didn't have the warm-up act of a solo motorcyclist doing tricks that they did when I saw it in Paris (not sure if they still do, it's been almost two years since I was last at DLP). Instead they had movie questions flashing up on the big screen.

Also, they didn't have the casting of audience members for the market scene that they do in Paris - though I regarded this as a good thing because that takes a good 10 minutes during which nothing else happens.

They also did the scenes in a slightly different order. The up on two wheels / jump with the truck bit came first, then the car chase 'ballet' sequence, and finally the hero escaping from the bad guys scene - where they did actually use the jet ski on the water (which I've never seen them do in Paris).

Herbie's appearance and the kid getting to 'remote control' the car were still in there.

I confirm that jet skis are not used anymore at DLP but the final scene is spectacular ! :)

We did not go and see the show last year in WDW but saw the show in March in DLP and found it ok but nothing special, especially when you don't speak much French and when the 'remote control' person is doing their stuff and the whole discussion is in French you are left in the dark as to what is happening! Maybe I should learn French!

Saw the show at DLP in August and it had a very good English commentary. In fact the girl doing the English was the same person we had that gave us a test ride in one of the new Opel people carriers that were being shown in the Village.
We had picked up a voucher from them the previous day not really thinking it would be much use. Anyhow, the following morning it was literally raining cat & dogs so the 2 oldies in our party weren't going to bother going to the Park till we saw these 2 girls from Opel offering rides to the Park which we all gladly accepted. We were very please to find that they actually dropped us off at the Disneyland Hotel entrance. Sorry for going off at a tangent :)

But anyway we all enjoyed Moteurs.... very much.

Steve
