I've stayed there many times over the years. Originally it was a Motel 6 and then was remodeled as a Red Roof. Acorn Hotels owns both and Red Roof is generally slightly upscale from a Motel 6. A few years ago they re-branded it back to Motel 6. I found the rooms to be larger and much cleaner than most Motel 6's. Rooms had nice large computer desks. Unlike most Motel 6's, this one has a nice lobby with gift shop and sitting area.
If people are used to deluxe resorts then sure, any Motel 6 will not be acceptable. On a budget Motel 6 or Red Roof's are perfect. I never found the Disney Way one to be even remotely dirty.
Theres also a Motel 6 west of
Disneyland on Katella in Stanton (3 miles I think). It is usually cheaper, not as nice but clean. We've also stayed at Red Roof near Knotts off the 91 at Beach. It's usually less expensive and only a 10 minute drive at most to Disneyland. Great for being able to eat breakfast at Knotts restaurant each morning!
