Where was the most unique vacation spot you've ever been to?

Anyone ever been to an underwater hotel? Hotel made of ice? Other unique places?

well its not weird or unique but we took the kids to New Braunfels, TX to the original Schlitterbahn water park where the "resort" rooms are set amongst some of the chutes of the slides. Best vacation we ever had and yes in our opinions it beat Disney

Stayed at the Madonna in my college town of San Luis Obispo, CA. It is over the top.
Guys- The urinal in the bathroom is a giant waterfall... imagine how awesome that is.


The rooms are all privately themed and a lot of rock waterfall showers.

You stole mine!!! lol! The Leprachaun room at the Madonna Inn!!!

Another unique spot was The Ark near the Abedares Country Club in Kenya. It has a tunnel that takes one to an underground viewing center near a waterhole. I stayed up all night watching a mother rhino protect her baby from an elephant and a Cape buffalo. Facinating!

Great ideas! I think I've seen the Maddonna Inn on the Travel Channel-do they have "caveman themed rooms" as well?
