For our flight back to Toronto after a Disney Cruise, to prevent us from either paying a ton or getting a late night flight back from MCO, we will likely book a flight that has one stop in the US. Many options have between a 40-50 min layover time which makes me a bit nervous about missing the connecting flight.

Has anyone flown through these airports? And if so, any idea of whether we would have to change terminals to get the flight back to Toronto?

here are the options:
MCO-Cleveland CLE United
40 min layover
CLE- YYZ Air Canada

MCO - Atlanta ATL Delta
40 min layover
ATL - YYZ Delta Express

MCO-CHarlotte US Airways
50 min layover
CLT - YYZ US Airways Express

I'm guessing Cleveland or Charlotte airports are less busy and hectic than Atlanta.

I have not done Cleveland, but have done Atlanta and Charlotte, and I say Charlotte is a more compact airport and less hectic than Atlanta.

Almost lost my daughter, we rushed to get on the train to change terminals in Atlanta and she was almost not fast enough.:faint: Luckily I was able to pull her onto the train.

NOT Atlanta. It's massive, and one area can be very far away from a connection. We ran through that airport and had to use a subway system( Or some sort of tram) to get to our connection and almost missed it.

I'd go with Charlotte or Cleveland. Maybe look at a map of each airport to get an idea of the size and layout. It should be on their websites.

And just looking at those choices it appears Cleveland isn't using the tiny commuter planes. I'd go with that one for that reason alone. But I'm not the best flyer and the smaller planes make me anxious.

We connect through Charlotte all the time...it's one of our favorite airports. Nice layout, easy connections to all sections of the airport and you don't have to shuttle between terminals for international flights, half-decent restaurants, free wifi, clean, etc.

I agree with the pp regarding Atlanta. Avoid it if you can.

I see you have some tight connection times. Not too bad for a lone person or a couple but might be hard with a family. If you can, check to see that your connecting flight is not the last one of the day, just in case something causes you to miss it. No biggie if it isn't and a big problem if it is.

Good luck, have a great trip! :)
