most scariest moment

Our scary momeny was with our son at the Grand California. We stayed there for one night many years ago and used some left over DVC points. Actually made the reservation the morning we decided to drive there - which you can't do anymore...

Anyway after a day in the parks we came to the pool to swim and relax. My son who must have been about 6 at the time was going up and down the slide over and over. I was with my daughter who did not swim and my DH was watching my son so up and then come down the slide.. When I looked over there we couldn't find him anywhere.... We looked and looked then told a lifeguard - in case he might have gone underwater and couldn't get back.. very frightening 10 - 15 minutes... We started freaking out as he was NOT in the pool area at all... not in the pool, not in the fenced in area - nowhere.....!!!! THe employees were great and started helping us look for him. Finally after what seemed like forever an employee came walking out with him from the lobby area.. Seems my son couldn't find us in the pool - not sure how that happened - and went inside to find an employee - which we told him to do if he ever gets lost. It was a VERY scary moment for all of us but it turned out OK in the end...
and I was actually proud of my son after I was over my anger because he did go to find a Disney employee... a bit far away but he only knew about the registration area to look for on..

I have to agree with everyone about the deadly Sun Wheel.. My DBF and I of course were jumping to get on the swinging gondolas.. We always passed up that ride because to us it looked like a lame normal ferris wheel... We wait wait and wait in line, and finally get to the front, and while a CM is helping a family get off one of the swinging gondolas, a little girl, she had to be about 4 or 5, just blows chunks all over the loading platform.. Everyone waiting in line goes, "ewwww" and the mom is just mortified.. The CM directs the family to first aid while this little girl is crying her eyes out.. We wait for the CM to clean up the mess.. I am now terrified watching people on this thing, screaming their lungs off, and the little girl puking did not help.. We get loaded into our gondola, and it was horrible!! My DBF is a MAJOR thrill seeker, and I have never seen him so terrified.. His face was white, and he kept screaming.. I was freezing up there, and my stomach was in my throat, I was focusing on Block Party Bash over in front of Golden Dreams so I wouldn't throw up.. Ugh.. Horrible..

and I actually like the stupid drop thing at Magic Mountain, well the old school one, why can't I think of the name???

The ride youre thinking of is Freefall. What a classic ride that was.

I can handle ToT and California Screamin', no problem. But those swinging gondolas on the Sun Wheel are pure torture. Never again.
