Most romantic?

I'm trying to plan a special dinner for Dh. What would you say is the most romantic choice and preferably most adult? The are no ADR available for Le Cellier so that is out of the question. We are open to eating and trying a wide variety of foods.

Cost no object, V&A, of course. Everything else is a veeeery distant second, romance-wise and otherwise. Next in line for a nice romantic meal would be places that don't participate in the Dining Plan: bluezoo and Bistro de Pairs (ie, less of a chance of cranky/unruly children). There were plenty of snuggly, happy couples when I ate at bluezoo last week. Definitely a "grown-up" restaurant. Citrico's would probably be a good choice, too.

Also Yachtsman Steakhouse, Narcoosee's and Jikos with my suggestions being in just that order!

I vote for either California Grill around Wishes time (we usually go at least an hour before) or Yachtsman Steakhouse.

A gem that is always overlooked is San Angel Inn.
It is 1TS and not crowded but the atmosphere is fantastic.

SAI gets a bad wrap here on the boards alot of people don't like it. I think it has to do with expectations. It is more traditional foods, than Tex Mex.
I would check out the menu see if something sounds good and shoot for it.

It is so much bang for your buck, better than the expensive type.

V&A is the top rated...but it's too much for us.. the menu is too fancy and stylish not a place we'd comfortable at. Too formal for us.

Others said, Cal Grill for wishes? NO WAY for what you want.
Anytime before Wishes the place is packed with kids running around waiting for fireworks.
You won't get your quiet romantic meal your thinking of.

I agree Narc. or Jiko for what you want.
Personally I would choose Jiko. Menus is excellent. Service is excellent.
Wine list is excellent. And the servers knowledge of the menu and wine list is excellent. All servers try the pick out the wines so they can recommend a great wine to go with your meal.
The flatbreads are to die for.
Our pick for best resturant.

Note as above that this choice will be neither quiet nor romantic or even adult (but then, Le Cellier wouldn't have been either).

If you like the idea, the best option is to ask to be seated in the wine room. Of course, the quiet in the room depends on who else is seated there - you could be seated with a loud group in there as well. There's also no MK view from the wine room.

People also love the San Angel Inn for the view. I think it's loud, congested, filled with families, and the tables are way too close together. I like the food though. Plus, outstanding margaritas.

If Victoria & Albert's is too expensive, some alternatives with possibilites are Bluezoo, Bistro de Paris (although I've seen plenty of kids in both locations), Shula's, or Jiko if you must use the dining plan. The more adult you'd like your evening, the later you should make your reservation.

Victoria & Alberts is definitely top choice. Second, I would pick Bistro de Paris or one of the restaurants at Swan/Dolphin. We have not done Shula's but we enjoy bluezoo and Il Mulino.

If Le Cellier was your top choice, I guess I'd pick Yachtsman Steakhouse. It usually has a more adult crowd but any WDW restaurant on the dining plan has high chances of being un-adult.

If you are looking at one on Disney's dining plan, we've had decent luck at Jiko, Citricos and Artist Point for a quiet meal also.

Beyond V&A's I would say Narcoosee's would be an excellent choice. Ask for a table with a view for Wishes.

Victoria & Albert's for sure. Very romantic, quiet and the food was amazing.

We don't really feel like Le Cellier is romantic because the tables are so close together, but if you were set on it, I would suggest to continue trying to get an ADR everyday online. We got a ressie about 10 days out by just continuing to try all times online everyday. Finally got a reservation for 4 early dinner, and when we got there just told them it would only be 2.
As far as romantic goes, I found Tutto Italia to be romantic (but I really like hearing that Italian accent and I love Italian food)

Exactly what Pakey and TDC Nala have said. Assuming by "most adult" you mean fewest kids, you'll probably be better off at any of the Swan/Dolphin Signature restaurants.
Over the years, at the Disney Signatures we've found Citrico's to most often have the fewest kids.

1) Most WDW eateries are not romantic
. . . too much noise
. . . too many kids making noise or just misbehaving
. . . too many adults not behaving well in fine dining eateries
2) For true romantic atmosphere
. . . Victoria & Albert's (GF)
. . . Bistro de Paris (Epcot, France, upstairs)
. . . Shula's (Dolphin)

NOTE: I am not criticizing people for not behaving well at "romantic" eateries, as the DDP has made it easier for kids to attend and people to attend who are not used to finer dining. So, if one really wants romance, the best choice is to go to places where there are no kid's menus, there is no DDP, and there is a higher price tag.

Thanks for the advice! I'm going to look inot the menus. I would prefer something on the dining plan but its not a real must. Yeah, maybe we'll just eat fish and chip, have a beer and spend the night walking around Epcot. It looks like we are staying at the GF so I'm going to look into the rest. there.
