Most romantic restaurants?

I've already asked this on the TGM board, but I thought it would be nice to get your opinions as well...so I'm wondering, what do you guys think are the most romantic restaurants throughout the world. I'm going to propose to my soon-to-be fiancee on my next trip and I want her to have the best. I'm not an EXTREMELY wealthy guy, but I wouldn't mind dishing out some good cash for at least 3 luxurious meals this trip, with some moderate - expensive meals in between. We're going for 8 days and 7 nights in February (probably staying at the Poly or the AKL) and are visiting all the parks and outside Disney adventures (including DTD, Blizzard Beach, and whatever else we can find on property). Suggestions?

THE most romantic restaurant in all of WDW, by far, is Victoria and Albert's.
I don't care what anyone says.....no other restaurant at Disney comes close to V and A's when it comes to romance.

California Grille is also quite romantic, despite the nit-picky complaints you'll get on these baords about the noise. It's an exciting place and people talk, it's not a library for heaven's sake.

I proposed to my wife out on the observation deck at CG after the fireworks, when everyone went back inside and we were all alone.

Citrico's is also nice. I would also consider Bluezoo and Artist Point.

But the runaway #1 spot for romance is V and A's.

Have a great time!

I think it would be cool to do it at the sci fi. You could slip your arm around her while you are sitting in the car, maybe rub her shoulder a little, have her put her head into your shoulder, have a kid from the back seat squirt you with ketchup...well, on second thought, I second V&A.

V&A's is the place, but if you don't want to bring a coat with you, like me most of the time. I think Citricos is very nice and some tables at CG, although CG can be very noisy at times. Artist Point or Jiko also are very nice. Congrats!!! Maine :firefight

If you are sushi eaters, the sushi place at the Swan is very nice. It is dimly lit and very quiet. It is a little pricy for sushi but, isn't every thing @ disney?

Okay, I like Citricos better than V and A, and love the California Grill. BUT, if I was getting proposed to, I would love what we saw one evening at CRT - Prince Charming brought in a pillow with a glass slipper on it, with the ring box inside - Okay, not the greatest dining experience, but how can you ever forget that, as opposed to just proposing at a nice dinner!

That's hard to top, not doubt about it!!
Any of these spots would be nice:
V&A, Citricos, Palio, California Grill, Jiko.
Just a reminder--WDW restaurants are almost always full of kids, so ,except for V&A, don't expect a classic "romantic" restaurant with candlelight, music, soft ambiance. The best you can expect are places a little more "adult friendly" than some others.

I don't think it matters which restaurant...she will remember it as the most romantic place in the world because you proposed to her! DH & I had gone away alone and he gave me a beautiful pair of diamond earrings for our anniversary in the middle of Akerhaus, pre-princess days. I love going there because it brings back so many romantic memories. Although I must admit we went there last week and the princess thing and screaming kids at 8 PM was a little less romantic! :rotfl: I will still go there for the warm fuzzies it gives me as well as I like the cold buffet!

KFischer said it perfectly -- V&A -- all the other signature restaurants are great, but for pure romance V&A is the place. Nothing else comes close.
