Most Magical WDW Experience

When we were at the world in June 2000, Me, my DH, DD, DS and a dear friend were having dinner at the Villians dinner at 1900 Park Fare. My DD was 4 at the time and pretty frightened by the villians, especially Captain Hook. Towards the end of our dinner, Captain Hook came back to our table, and gave my daughter a white rose he had pulled from a flower arrangement in the lobby. The look on my daughters face was priceless. She was not scared of the villians any more!! (except the queen of hearts):D

She still talks about her experience with Captain Hook and loves to look at the pictures. She loved her rose so much that she brought it home. We had it at home until it finally died, and then DD saved a few petals as a souvenier.

wow there were so many magical moments in this last trip

Our first night the the Contemporary we went to Chef Mickeys before going to illuminations - We were there so long Mickey came around to our table twice - on the second time around I said loud enough so mickyer could hear..."Natalie, you've already got Mickeys autograph don't you?" - so when my litle one gave him the book... we put it open down on the table....drew a tic tac toe board and played a game of tic toe with my daughter - then when minnie came by... I said..."woah...Natalie !! its minnie - Minnie picked up on this and signed her autograph TO NATALIE From your pal Minnie Mouse - my little girl looked at me..."wow dad she must have remembered me from last time"

Then when we were at the 1900 park fare dinner - my daughter was waiting in line to meet goofy...and goofy saw me video tapping the whole thing... first he held my daughters head while he rubbed his nose under her chin... then he looked over at me - walked across the room until his nose was the only thing in the video screen... turned around...with his back toward me... and then tuened back around and thrust the signature into the camera so you could see it up close... then he joked around with my daughter....somemore before goofy let us take pictures

Then at Pocahontas...my little one got picked to be one of the children to do the introduction to the show... and she got called to go to the stage while we were all in line waiting and they took her back stage... when they let us and the rest of the line in, my little girl and another were standing in front of the stage...with reserved seats right up front. After the show she got a "This is your certified magical moment certificate" - was very cute.

The morning we went to CRT DD was all dolled up in a cinderella outfit - the Monorail driver put us in front and kept telling "Princess" about disneyworld and gave her a co-pilots license for the monorail... At the CRT Cinderella told my daughter..."why you look perfect...you could be my little sister." MY daughter still talks about that.

Dad - that would be me - I had some times I consider magical but they are all more sentiment kind of things - sitting on the beach and watching the electric light parade with my daughter - running all the way home from MK to Contemporary with my daughter on my shoulders (she's seven) - She was laughing the whole way.

Oh then with Pluto - behind Minnie's house....Pluto started spinning around with my daughter in her arms...she loved that.

And the talking trashcan rolled up to my girlfriend and said, "Hey beautiful, you're in my personal space."

The trip was very good - only a couple of times when my seven year old and I butted heads... only a couple of times I was a boor to her.

For the msot part the trip was very magical and went off without a hitch - lots of rides - lots of activities - lots of play - good food - good relaxation.

To me, what everyone has said seems to be exactly what WDW is all about...

I bet Disney Marketing would love to hear all these stories!

My most magical memory was last November when I spent my bday at Disney. My travel agent had told the reservation cm that I would be celebrating my birthday, and on the reservation sheet it said I would get a call from Goofy. Well, my bday comes along, and no call, so that evening, I called guest services at the resort (ASMO), to ask what happened, and they asked me who my fave character was, and I told them Tigger, thinking I would get a call from Tigger, so about an hour or so later, I was laying down, with the start of a cold, when there was a knock on our room door, so my mom answers, and there was a CM looking for me, with a balloon bouquet and a card signed by Tigger and pals!!! I got all choked up when I saw that!!! That is Disney Magic at it's finest!!!! We deflated the balloons, and it always puts a smile on my face whenever I look at them and the card!!! THANK YOU DISNEY AND TIGGER!!!

I've had quite a few magical moments at WDW. Most recently, I proposed to my soon to be DW in the rose garden near the MK in June of 2000.

However, my most magical moment occured in the summer of 1996. I was 19 and it was my first "non-family" vacation to WDW. I went with my girlfriend(now my future DW). It had been my first trip back to WDW since I was 12. My mom had passed away earlier that year so I took some of the $$$ she left me and decided to take the trip. Subconsciously, I booked the trip not realizing the correlation. My mom would take my brother and I to WDW at least once a year when we were kids.

During our 1st night, we watched the Epcot fireworks and a feeling of calmness came over me like a warm blanket. At that moment, I remembered back to the days when my mom urged my brother and I to watch the beauty of the fireworks show...of course,we were too busy trying to pull her towards the rides. I finally understood what she was trying to show me, it was just too late for me to share it with her. Until...at that moment, I felt her presence there with me. I can't really explain it much more than that, but it was like she was trying to tell me that she would always be there and that I didnt need to worry any more.

I guess that is why I go back at least once a year, sometimes twice. I feel "at home" at WDW. Its probably the most important place for me to remember the times that we shared as a family. Soon, when I have children of my own, I will take them to see the fireworks at Epcot, and have the chance to remember all over again! That's pure DISNEY MAGIC!

Wow, I have so many moments...to pick the MOST magical one is tough.

I suppose my story would have to begin in 1997. We were at WDW with my Mom and Dad. Our DD was just 1 at the time. Mom and Dad were at a different hotel than we were...they were to meet us one morning at Epcot. Anyway, the appointed time came and went and no Mom and Dad. 15, 30, 45 minutes...an hour. Finally, I go and call back to their hotel. No answer. I try our hotel (CR) and I pick up a frantic message from my Mom that my Dad had a heart attack at breakfast and had been rushed to the hospital. To make a long story shorter, my Dad ended up making it (just barely). It was a very difficult situation for all of us, especially DD who didn't (couldn't) understand why we had to leave "Mickey Mouse" so quickly. Nevertheless, she was such a good and patient little girl during the whole ordeal.

Fast forward to 1999....our return trip to WDW. We had vowed that this was going to be " a do-over" from 1997. DD was now 3 and now knew all the stories. We had b-fast one morning at CRT and DD is just gushing over all of the princesses. Suddenly, Cinderella comes up to her and hugs her and tells her what a special little girl she was. DD smiled broadly and blushed...DW and I started to choke up....we had gotten our "do-over".

...'scuse me now...I need a tissue....
