If you had a list of 'MUST DO's with kiddies (age 6 & under) what would they be?

Maybe a list of 1-10 type deal?

We went last year and most of my dining reservations (although we did get some good ones) were very last minute because it was what was available and I know some of them could have been more in tune for the kiddies.

We did do Crystal palace which we loved, Ohanas and Cinderellas royal table.

Thanks!

We did Hollywood & Vine character lunch in December and loved it. It's great for little kids b/c Leo & June, JoJo & Goliath are there and they have little dance parties w/ the characters about every 15/20 minutes.

If you have girls I'd do the Princess Storybook Breakfast in Norway. The food is nothing special but the restaurant is cool looking and there are 5 princesses.

We had a BLAST at Chef Mickey's. I know this place gets mixed reviews, but we had a really good experience. We had the latest breakfast seating around 11:20am and that was perfect. We practically had the place to ourselves and the characters came by at least twice a piece. It was also cool to be able to see the monorail run through the hotel. And the food was awesome.

Until my kids are much older I'm going to only do character places or places like Ohanas that have entertainment. We went to Le Cellier and even my very patient 5 year old was getting antsy.

ps - You got last minute CRT reservations? wow!

My DD6 loves Chef Mickey's, the Coconut race at Ohana, Playhouse Disney's Play N Dine at Hollywood N Vine was alot of fun for the little ones they got to dance with JoJo and Goliath and June and Leo.

Actually CRT was one of the ones I reserved as soon as I made our WDW reservations but then I kinda waited on the rest because I hadn't made a park plan or anything. When I started making the reservations it was within the week before we went.
Actually Crystal Palace was one I reserved from our room when we were there. I'm so thankful they got us in.

We love lunch at Crystal Palace, breakfast in Norway, Chef Mickey's (although the food has gone downhill), and Breakfastasaurus at AK. They would probably like character meal at Hollywood and Vine (mine are too old) - we always do our Fantasmic dinner package there because the food is pretty good. At MGM, we love Sci-Fi for the atmosphere if not the food; otherwise 50's Prime Time Cafe (although my son got very upset when he was 5 and the waitress said he had to clean his plate or he couldnt' have any dessert). Rainforest Cafe at AKL or DTD if you can stand slow service and loud noises. At DTD, Planet Hollywood is another decent choice or if you go to Disney Quest, the food there is pretty good. Whispering Canyon at WL can be really fun and an easy boat ride from MK if you want to go for lunch. At Epcot, Teppanyaki could be fun for them depending on what they like. Or Garden Grill in the Land for Chip and Dale.

Congrats on being an '06 survivor - I'm an '00 survivor.

room service! okay, outside of that, I would say the best ones with our kids (age 4, 2, 2) were: play and dine and hollywood and vine (huge hit, favorite character meal for the kids), chef mickey's, Crystal place, cape may breakfast (really loved this one, the kids could color on the paper-covered tables! big hit), and the plaza restaurant. the plaza isn't a character meal, but the food was great...the kids really enjoyed theirs (as did we).

#1 Cape May Breakfast if possible go later around 10. #2 room Service.then the rest are about the same Chef Mickey's, RFC, WCC, Kona, & my kids like Chef de France & Food Courts. Also my kids like the CS at Epcot.

Well, dd4 loved crystal palace b/c of the characters and we loved the food (tasty). I woud also recommend WCC especially if your kids get a little rowdy at dinner. It was fun, playful, and loud - very kid oriented.

Thanks for all the input!:cool1:

A couple questions:

Where are: Hollywood & Vine and Cape MAy?

H&V is at MGM right off Hollywood Blvd (breakfast 8:00-11:20, lunch 11:40-2:25) and Cape May is at the Beach Club (breakfast 7:30 - 11:00).

Whispering Canyon is great for kids, Sci Fi is a favorite of ours, the Garden Grill in Epcot is really good for kids. Another great one if you have little one's is the Hollywood and Vine Character Breakfast/Lunch (The food is OK, but the characters are great!)

Thank You It has been great to have one full year of remission. I have Stage 2B Persistent Nodular Sclerosing Hodgkins Disease (Lymphoma).

Many Congrats to you! All it takes is a little faith, trust, and Pixie Dust!!!!!!

Breakfastasaurus, Sci-fi and Chef Mickey's are my kid's favorites. I think the food is good for the money and the kid's talk about the experiences for weeks after the trips (souvenir cups help!). Plus, these are fun experiences for the adults - different every time, and if you leave Breakfastasaurus or Chef Mickey's hungry, it's your own fault.

Thisyear will will be our 4th time back in 3yrs. My princess: is 5 like yours, but I also saw you have 3pirate: 's. I would say the 1.crystal palace is a great choice, the pooh waffles are a fav. of my princess: ,she still talks about them.2.Also love the Coral reef was a big hit with the placemats that identify the fish you see in the tank,we had a shark, sea turtle, and a nemo looking clown fish to watch while we ate. Just make your reservation at opening and request a table by the tank.(worked for us):thumbsup2 3.The lively animatronic elephants and gorillas make Rainforest cafe a favorite of ours.4.Ohanas was simply magical for us,they have hula dancing(even toddlers were free to try),limbo lines, great food and a big plus for us-they pipe the music to wishes in and offer a beautiful view for the fireworks(at 3 my princess: did not like the vibrations and booms of the fireworks)this place is just great family fun.
