how's the pizza and burgers at the two counter service places?
nothing says "happy honeymoon" like eating my way across the ship. and i'm suprised that the pizza at WDW isn't that great. does anyone have a pic of the pizza or burgers?
and what exactly do they have at the places (i wanna say its pluto's and pinnochio's)? my bride is hoping for a snack of chicken tenders between lunch and dinner.
thanks!

Can't help you with the quality of the food, but I guess my idea of a "happy honeymoon" certainly isn't eating my way across the ship  !!!

The pizza and burgers are the same as the standard theme park fare. The pizza is not my idea of good pizza, but being raised in Brooklyn, I am a bit of a pizza snob.
The Burgers are okay, and there's a toppings bar to fix it up. The Chicken Tenders Rock! Definitely have the Chicken Tenders.

Skip the pizza & go with the chicken tenders!!!

I totally agree!!! The burgers and pizza are okay. Best pizza I've ever had on a cruise ship was recently on the Diamond Princess. It was fabulous!

Chicken Tenders are great....I don't eat meat but my mom said the burger was good but the pizza.....BLECHHHHHHHHHHH even worse than dominos/papa john/pizza hut or any other chain store pizza!

Hey - I like Papa John's and Pizza Hut Pizza. :teeth: I don't eat that much pizza, but I love Pizza Hut Pan Pizza. :lovestruc

158 days till we leave for our 30th Anniversary 4-day Wonder Cruise & 4 days at POR.

We just got back from the Magic (April 23rd Western). The pizza was terrible! The rest of the counter food was good though, esp. the chicken tenders.

We had room service bring a pizza on the 4night Wonder 2 yrs ago and I remember it being much better, not great, but better.

thanks! i'm a NY'er living in MA, so needless to say, I make my own pie. so from the sounds of it i'll be sticking with the tenders.
we have a week in WDW for the wedding ceremony before the cruise, so this will be time to relax after 7 days of "oh no! my sister is wearing the same color as her sister!" and "where is aunt joanie? the ceremony is starting in 10 minutes!"

I tried the chicken tenders the last day of our cruise last year. Wow, I wished that I had tried them on the first day that would have given me more opportunities to have them during the week. I couldn't figure out what made them so tasty but they are great. They make such a nice snack when you get back from being off the ship at port.

Happy Honeymoon = Rockin' the Ship and blaming it on the waves :rolleyes1

Back to the Pizza
I didn't mind the pizza the last couple of times on board. Thought it was ok. But there's been a thread not to long ago where everyone trashed the pizza. Besides the Pizza, there's the burgers and dogs and nacho and chicken tenders.

But for the daily first string of snacks I go with the fresh fruit and chocolate chip cookies from Scoops.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the burgers. I was suprised that they were so good. I craved them everyday and skipped the lunch buffet because I wanted another burger. I was also a frequent flyer at scoops (choc/van twist with strawberry topping). The tacos aren't that great. I'm used to the standard taco bell and they don't have grated cheese. The pizza is like Ellios frozen pizza. My daughter called it "roller rink" pizza. Luckily she loves roller rink pizza (hee hee).
The chicken fingers are always good. And the ceaser and oriental wraps at scoops were pretty good too. There's always SOMETHING to grab.
Here's a good tip.... take a late night swim with your hubby.... you'll have the place to yourself and all of the counter services are still open (although nobody is there!) Skip a show or two. IT's worth it!

Pizza was OK, didn't eat the burgers. My kids loved the chicken fingers and believe it or not, the tacos were excellent (I surprised myself with even ordering them).

Seriously, I think they put crack in those chicken fingers - soooo addicting. Having late seating, it became our staple afternoon snack. They have BBQ sauce, honey mustard and ketchup for dipping. I also thought the tuna sandwich was excellent.

so its not just burgers, tenders, and pizza, but also wraps and sandwiches?
that's great!!! is there an actual menue floating around someplace? i looked at the usual suspects (castaway club, all ears) but nothing?
we also are looking at the late seating (less kids) so we know we'll need a late afternoon snack.

and lets keep it clean folks. there might be some mouseketeers reading. :)
otherwise i'd respond back to make you blush. :)

Don't forget about room service 24/7...my DD was hooked on the tuna sandwich......

Chicken fingers-Awesome!!
Burgers good-especially with all the toppings (and a bag of chips)
Chicken fingers-awesome
Frenchfries-good--typical fast food fare
chicken fingers-mmmmm
hot dogs-really good! (I was surprised)
my favorite poolside snack?? Scoops!! Fresh fruit with ice cream
(and the chicken fingers, did I mention they are quite good?)

OMG the scoops fresh fruit! I miss having all the pineapple I want everyday! :(
