Most Expensive / Moist Exhausting Continued - Final thoughts and wrap-up

I'm thinking it wasn't about not getting her hair wet, it was about not getting water up the nose!

Ugh on the dryer, we had that issue in Hawaii, definitely delays getting checked out on time.

Fun update.

If at first you don't succeed, try try again!!!
:sad2:

Is that a reference to all of my whiff's on your latest contest?
i wouldnt want to wiff anything that marv is putting out there.
:rolleyes1:eek:

good update glenn, looks like you are going to finish yours up way before me.

nice relaxing day at the pool great way to end the vacation.
:thumbsup2

What a fun relapsing time :goodvibes

Love that you did laundry before packing, we did laundry before packing too:rotfl2::thumbsup2

Our last day. Magical Express, or “Depress” as I’ve heard it appropriately called for this leg of the trip, was due to pick us up at 2.

I hate that day. There's no cure for it.

She also knew that I liked the rainfall showerhead that they have in the suites at Kidani, so she’d looked in the gift shop, Johari Treasures, where they sell them. (Must be I’m not the only one who likes them.) But they were really expensive, so she told me that she’d look for one at home. She did buy one after we got back, it’s probably a different brand, but it works pretty well. And best of all, she installed it herself!

Wow! That's a good woman you have there, Glenn. Hold onto her.

Okay, back to the trip. We put the wet clothes from the washer into the dryer, and another load into the washing machine. I know, it’s details like this that separate this trip report from all others.

What next?? The suspense is overwhelming! Don't tell me...you forgot to ADD THE FABRIC SOFTENER! :scared1:

This is when we discovered that the dryer wasn’t working very well. I mean, it worked, it just didn’t, um, dry.

Sounds like your definition of "worked" is different from mine. :sad2:

How about some pool photos?

Ok, sure! popcorn::

And James on the slide. My favorite is the 3rd one down.

Well, yeah. Wipeouts rule! (as long as they happen to other people)

And some other critter.

IMG_4178.jpg

Pretty sure that's a moon elk.

Maybe there are no Judys, but it's a very nice shot.

Great update, Glen. I love the pics of the kids on the slide (can't wait to try it out in four months!).

Fun update...and great slide pictures. Maybe Marlene was sitting up to slow down? I've done that, for sure. The pool at Kidani looks beautiful, too.

Thanks. I'll do some snooping around. I haven't been on the DIS much lately and so when I decided to go the first thing I told the ol' BF about was your TR and I showed him your day at Hollywood Studios. I then had to tell him about the rockin' phone call at Epcot! :rotfl:

Wow, I'm honored that you shared some portions of my TR with your BF. Thanks!

Gosh..I hope all 5'1" of me will be able to see the hyperspace hoopla. Especially when trying to hold a wiggly toddler that weights almost as much as me. :rotfl2:

Hmmm, you've got a point there. I'm afraid that Creighton (or you for that matter) won't have the patience to wait in that hot crowd. I wonder if you talked to the right cast member, if they could point you to a good viewing location that was a little further back, but where you could still see?

I think i'm going to dread this after it is all said and done. Me, a tween, a first grader, a toddler in the sweltering heat watching characters I know nothing about. :lmao:

I'm afraid that is a distinct possibility!

Sure, I'll link you to my blog once I post some pictures.

Goooood. Don't forget!

I just noticed that your signature says your name is "Jen". I didn't realize we had another Jen on here. Was that always in your signature, and I was just oblivious? (Sorry Captain, no offense intended.)

That is correct. You win this round! :cheer2:

ahhhh....the pool relapsing time looked great!!!

I also think that pool would be great place to unwind after a great vacation at the WDW....

Wish I was there now!

you should have had Judy take a few pics of you going down the slide..you know you went down a few times!!

:lmao:

Yeah, I had to ah, test it. Yeah that's it, test it, to make sure it was safe for the kids.

Nice relapsing morning. It sure made me feel relapsed just reading it. I'm not much a water person but Creighton sure does like to "swinnnnnnnnnnnnn" and play in the "wa wa". I wanted to go over to the water play area when we stayed there in March but we never made it.

I'm glad you relapsed.

What? You didn't get there? Was it warm enough to be at the pool in March? If it was cool, I'm with ya, water activities are no fun in the cold. But when it's hot, I love it.

We did the same thing when we went in '08 at the BC and got upgraded to concierge for free. I figured it was free Sam Adams so why not leave for the next person.

I'm not a Sam Adams person. I'd chug a Bud Lite Lime before going for a Sam Adams.

I noticed that while I was Judy hunting.

Occupational hazard, I suppose.

Her hair is already wet, so..... Maybe it was the lack of goggles that kept her from going under?

I think you're right. Hey, I just noticed that she's not wearing her beret. I should've put something in the writeup about that.

Great Form :thumbsup2

I like this one too! A very common sight.:lmao:

More occupational hazard observations. :)

The one and only.

Former lifeguard, by the way. ::yes::

Of course now I go back to read and find the disclaimer. :headache: But I agree.

:rotfl2: I tried! That's what you get for not reading. But you won the round, so you must've had a good strategy.

Sounds so relapsing.

Oh it is!

DANG IT!!

I almost got one!!!

:headache:

Victory was almost in your grasp!!!

2 Judy's and no I didn't spy her in the pool shot !!!

Correction 3 Judy's !!!

Well, you're going to have to point them out, because I think there was only one.

I'm thinking it wasn't about not getting her hair wet, it was about not getting water up the nose!

I think you might be onto something there.

Ugh on the dryer, we had that issue in Hawaii, definitely delays getting checked out on time.

Fun update.

Yeah, I wasn't counting on 2 loads of laundry taking like 2 1/2 hours to dry.

i wouldnt want to wiff anything that marv is putting out there.
:rolleyes1:eek:

Oh mean, you ain't kiddin'. :rotfl2:

good update glenn, looks like you are going to finish yours up way before me.

nice relaxing day at the pool great way to end the vacation.
:thumbsup2

Well, it's not a race. :)

Yes, we finally hurried up and relaxed.

What a fun relapsing time :goodvibes

Oh yeah, sit back....and relapse.

Love that you did laundry before packing, we did laundry before packing too:rotfl2::thumbsup2

Well of course. That's what all the cool people do. :cool2: ;)

Oh man, late again. One Judy. Love the chapter title too...relapsing!

Love Judy's thumb's up. Is she Canadian by any chance??;) Wow, she installed that shower head herself too?? That's love Glenn.:goodvibes

The Kidani pool looks like great fun!:thumbsup2 Marlene and James certainly enjoyed it, didn't they?

I hate doing laundry on vacation. I do enough at home, lol!

It's obvious you all did some serious relapsing.:thumbsup2

Oh how I hate a non-drying dryer. Did the clothes dry before you had to leave? Or is that a part of the next chapter?

That pool looks like it's lots of fun! I love how thorough Disney is with their themes!

I hate that day. There's no cure for it.

Hmmm, looking for a cure? I smell a research grant!

Wow! That's a good woman you have there, Glenn. Hold onto her.

Thanks, I plan on it! You know a great wife when you see one, 'cause you've got one too.

What next?? The suspense is overwhelming! Don't tell me...you forgot to ADD THE FABRIC SOFTENER! :scared1:

Oh way to blow the suspense on my last chapter, where our clothes are all scratchy.

Sounds like your definition of "worked" is different from mine. :sad2:

Well, it worked in the sense that the inside spun around and it made a loud "dryer-ish" noise. From those two standoints, it worked great!

Well, yeah. Wipeouts rule! (as long as they happen to other people)

Without 'em, there'd be no Nascar. Not sure if that's an argument "for" or "against".

Pretty sure that's a moon elk.

:lmao: I think you're right! Interesting story, how it got its name.

Maybe there are no Judys, but it's a very nice shot.

Thanks, I'd love to be there right now.

Great update, Glen. I love the pics of the kids on the slide (can't wait to try it out in four months!).

You should! And please capture the moment with a picture or two. (You can see that you don't have to get your hair wet if you don't want to. )

Fun update...and great slide pictures. Maybe Marlene was sitting up to slow down? I've done that, for sure. The pool at Kidani looks beautiful, too.

Thanks. Maybe she was, but I think she either didn't want to splash her face or get water up her nose or something.

We love the pool at Kidani. It's beautiful, peaceful, fun....you could easily spend a few hours to just relax.

Oh man, late again. One Judy. Love the chapter title too...relapsing!

Pat was all over this one.....like a stalker!

Love Judy's thumb's up. Is she Canadian by any chance??;)

No, but she bought Rosetta Stone on how to speak "Canadian". It was a pop-up book with just a thumb sticking out. ;)

Wow, she installed that shower head herself too?? That's love Glenn.:goodvibes

All my daisy petals came out on "she loves me".

The Kidani pool looks like great fun!:thumbsup2 Marlene and James certainly enjoyed it, didn't they?

Yep, vacationing right up until the end!

I hate doing laundry on vacation. I do enough at home, lol!

I know, but it's gotta be done sometime. Might as well be while we're waiting for people to get out of bed.

It's obvious you all did some serious relapsing.:thumbsup2

Oh yeah.

Oh how I hate a non-drying dryer. Did the clothes dry before you had to leave? Or is that a part of the next chapter?

Despite what I just wrote to Capt. O., they're not part of the next chapter. I think they were suitably dry.

That pool looks like it's lots of fun! I love how thorough Disney is with their themes!

They are the theming masters! No doubt, hands down.

Wow, I'm honored that you shared some portions of my TR with your BF. Thanks!

This is the second time i've shared it. I showed him your world showcase picture you had printed. Don't go getting all big-headed on me now. Oh wait....nevermind...

:lmao:

Just kiddin'

I just noticed that your signature says your name is "Jen". I didn't realize we had another Jen on here. Was that always in your signature, and I was just oblivious? (Sorry Captain, no offense intended.)

Yup, names Jen and it's always been there. ;)

I'm glad you relapsed.

What? You didn't get there? Was it warm enough to be at the pool in March? If it was cool, I'm with ya, water activities are no fun in the cold. But when it's hot, I love it.

It was cool in the mornings but by early afternoon it was warm enough. We just didn't get a chance to make it over there. When we go in October I am going to spend more time taking everything in. I have plenty of down time planned. I also hope to go back in January and late feb/march next year. I'm not sure yet though. I finish school in January so I will have much more free time until I start my Masters degree. If only my job paid me more money.

I'm not a Sam Adams person. I'd chug a Bud Lite Lime before going for a Sam Adams.
:lmao: For me it was fine. Free Sam Adams. My beer palate is not that sophisticated. :snooty: Or maybe that is why I don't drink a lot of beer, I have not found the "right" one yet.

Occupational hazard, I suppose.

::yes::

I think you're right. Hey, I just noticed that she's not wearing her beret. I should've put something in the writeup about that.
You could photoshop it in.

More occupational hazard observations. :)

Watching always watching. What goes under must come up.

Former lifeguard, by the way. ::yes::

I can tell by the relaxed position in the pool:)

Pat was all over this one.....like a stalker!

You might think so. I have been busy at work lately so not really able to check in but I had a moment and there it was. It is almost like I get a psychic vibe or something.

You know what sucks about being the guy behind the camera? You never get pictures of yourself! But I guess that fancy DSLR isn't quite waterproof to take a first person shot of yourself going down the slide :rotfl:

Love the details about doing laundry. Moving the wet clothes over to the dryer was of the utmost importance!

Nice, relaxing last day. Can't say I'd ever be able to do that. My body would be screaming for rest while my mind and heart want to spend up to the last second possible at the parks. I love the Kidani pool though. The music they pipe is the cherry on top :thumbsup2

Okay Glen in the pool pix there are in the right hand corner of 2 of them the top of Judy's head !!The second one shows her glasses and I spotted that right away , but the pix before it has alittle less of her head but it is in then exact same position so has to be her !!! So I win!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hiya, Glenn! As always, I've a LOT of catching up to do, which means a LOT of reading and today may be the perfect day after the Baby Doll Tea Party with my 2 1/2 yr old grand-daughter, Sophia. Major rainstorm = catch up on Glenn's long running TR!!! It's like a good series you hate to see ever end. :cool1:

Sorry I've been MIA for months - had a lot of time to read after my surgery, then took a DIS break, now back to catching up, just not clever enough to contribute to the much enjoyable banter! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:
