Most Expensive / Moist Exhausting Continued - Final thoughts and wrap-up

Totally out of internet time, until midnight, but you can be sure...

I'll be back. <insert Schwartzenager voice>

:thumbsup2

HEY! I saw that!!
Don't matter none.... Little people= Big tude!

Really big tude.

Makes me think of that song "Short people". "Gotta pick them up, just to say hello".

I'm remembering them right now. Starting to get really nasty outside, and the main part of the storm isn't that close to us yet! Same storm that came through the middle of the country, and stirred up problems for Maroo!!! Need to check on my sister. She lives about a mile from Talladega racetrack and they were talking about the storm bearing down on that area on the evening news......

Lots of destruction on the news today....hope you are okay.

 Ok.....I think I remember that song too....sorta.

I'm sure you would if you heard it.

One of the road we need to use to get to the hwy is Morningwood drive- lots of chuckles from the teenage boy as we drive down so yeah I get it. :rolleyes1

Oh my gosh, who would give a street that name??

No Glennbo shrine,( I may or may not be lying ;)) but lots of :magnify: to do research with.:ssst:

I like all those squinty family photos. They are best seen in a series like that. Maybe you could do some kind of frameable montage. James' squint looks like he's saying "what the?!"

A framed montage is a good idea. That could be funny.

I DO remember the sushi car from last year! And her refrigerator this year is every bit as clever. But good that James won this time. Congrats James!:goodvibes

Thanks Rebecca.

So, it was really hot, huh? What do you think, 95? 98? Or was it the humidity? This was June, wasn't it? I've never been in June, and I was thinking it wouldn't be so bad- but maybe I'm wrong:goodvibes

I searched "historic Orlando temperatures" and found that the high was 93. It looks like it was actually hotter earlier in the week. I guess we just didn't get inside enough.

More great pictures, even the squinty ones. I've never understood how photographers expect people to simultaneously stare into the blazing sun and keep their eyes open! Crazy. Lotus Blossom looks pretty good and just might be on our list for July.

They get paid to just snap away, some are really good though.

It's a pretty good counter service place, but probably not a lot different than Chinese food you could get at home.

Ok, I've been lurking long enough and just wanted to come out of the shadows to say "hello" and thanks for all the laughs. You have a wonderful family, thanks for taking us all along for the ride. I think I'm going to have to program those phone numbers in my cell so I can impress my family on our next trip, or just call someday randomly when I'm bored at work and need a Disney pick me up. Ok, back to the shadows now. :lmao:

All caught up again! Love the pearl rings that the girls got in Japan. I did that during our 2008 trip and I still LOVE my ring and wear it whenever I can. :goodvibes

I was cracking up at the squinty pictures.:rotfl: We have quite a few of those too. I really feel for Judy....I found myself that way a couple of times during that trip. DS also got physically sick one night and we still aren't sure if it was just a small stomach bug or due to the heat all day. That child drinks more water than anyone I know so I know he wasn't dehydrated. :confused3

The crazy thing is...we agreed to play "tour guide" to some friends of ours this July. I am affraid.....VERY affraid!!!! It's going to be even MORE HOT than our June trip! :scared1: I've been trying to think of ways to keep ourselves cool and beat the heat. Also, I'm contemplating starting a PTR. I will probably post pics from the June 2010 trip during that time since I didn't do a TR.

Anyhoo....can't wait to read more of your adventures! popcorn::

Hey Glenn!

It's been a while so I can't remember what all I've commented on yet. Just read the last update and found myself cracking right up.

I've never done the school bread, but I've heard it so universally touted as nirvana in loaf form, that I too pictured it as being somewhat larger in nature. But I suppose dynamite and small packages and all that sort of thing might apply. (HiLiesa)

I caught that... ;)

All caught up and just peeking in here.

Yes Liesa - great things come in small packages. ;)

Hi Jiminy_78 and :welcome: Thank you for the kind words! I’m happy to take you along for the ride.

Hopefully those phone numbers can make for a magical moment during your next trip or at least provide a pick me up.

You don’t have to go back to the shadows now…feel free to stay and play.

I’m glad that it’s a keepsake you really keep!

I know that you know how hot it was that week! Sorry to hear that your son got sick, but it sounds like it was just temporary, so that’s good. Does he drink a lot before bed? That’s what James would do (which is not a good idea for obvious reasons).

Look at it this way – your friends would have no chance of survival without a tour guide as experienced as you. ;) I couldn’t think of anyone better equipped.

Also, I'm contemplating starting a PTR. I will probably post pics from the June 2010 trip during that time since I didn't do a TR.

Oh good! Please advertise it here…I’m having trouble “making the rounds” these days, so I may not see it for a while otherwise.

Anyhoo....can't wait to read more of your adventures! popcorn::

Thanks Blue!

Time to celebrate!

Don't forget to link me !!!:thumbsup2

I need it too.

Hey Glenn!

Hey Biscuit!

It's been a while so I can't remember what all I've commented on yet. Just read the last update and found myself cracking right up.

That’s okay, you are faithful in checking in periodically. :thumbsup2

I’m glad that we got you cracking up.

“nirvana in loaf form”…I like that!

I caught that... ;)

Maybe he meant some other “dynamite in a small package” named Lisa, who spells her name Liesa?

All caught up and just peeking in here.

Yes Liesa - great things come in small packages. ;)

You two see eye-to-eye on that one. ;)

Okay, since we are the topic of Liesa's name, I must bring this up. How do you pronounce her name?! I was always so worried I'd pronounce it wrong so I never really said it outloud when we had the DC Meet. Is it Lee-sa? Like Glenn mentions above or Lie-za? Le-A-za? She's going to think I'm nuts :rotfl2:

I think it's just like "Lisa", but I'd better let her answer in case I'm completely wrong.

She's going to think I'm nuts :rotfl2:

Aw, don't worry -- she won't think you're nuts because of this.

There are so many other reasons. ;)

Glenn, any chance you'll drop a hint on when you're posting your next update? I need to get back in the game!

That's what I thought too but I don't want to be wrong either....

Gee thanks! :p :rotfl: Just call me the Crazy Canadian

Haha! I never even noticed that you didn't use my name!! How funny!

Glenn is right, it's just plain old Lee-suh. I had a small rebellious stage in Jr. High where I added the "e" just to be different. It stuck, and here we are.

AS for thinking she's nutz... :dance3:;)

Yeah, I'm sneaky like that

Thanks for clearing that up! Way to confuse me by tossing an "e" in there. At least now I can confidently call out your name if I ever bump into you some day down the road.

It definitely won't be happening before Thursday. I'm actually on a business trip for a few days...that's why I've been getting so far behind on everyone's threads -- my hotel does not have free Wi-Fi. :sad2: So, I peek in here when I can, and I actually went to a Starbucks last night to try to get somewhat caught up.

his calander doesnt go that far in the future.

What, you think I'm using the Mayan calendar?

i can talk because i just did my update yesterday
:thumbsup2

And how long was it in-between updates?

Gee thanks! :p :rotfl: Just call me the Crazy Canadian

Thanks Amy. That can be a very hot place.

I thought it was odd that she said "hey you" a lot.

Told ya, Glenn!

Maybe he meant some other “dynamite in a small package” named Lisa, who spells her name Liesa?

I like that description! Really, I do! :yay:

hardee, har, har!

Yeah, I'm sneaky like that

So, I guess it's the pot calling the kettle black, eh?

I sincerely hope we DO, Jen!! I mean that!

Ahh, the old Starbucks trick! (I pull that one every Monday) THey must make a killing on the coffees we buy.

That "small rebellious stage" was only in Jr. High?

Just what are you insinuating?

Yeah, and I tossed in an extra "n" in my name to trip you up too. ;)

I wondered how long that was going to take.. :rolleyes1

Told ya, Glenn!

You forgot to add the :p

hardee, har, har!

:teeth:

I got a venti and drank it slowly.

Moi?

I wondered how long that was going to take.. :rolleyes1

It only depended on my computer connection speed. :rotfl2:
