Most Expensive / Moist Exhausting Continued - Final thoughts and wrap-up

I mean...um....you know, like my family will be there, and your family will be there..and it will be like sun-hot...you know, therefore we'll all be sweating...like..together..

I didn't mean to insinuate like you and me would sweat "together"....

:lmao::lmao::lmao: WHO is this new poster. I like him/her/it already!!! :rotfl2:

Yes, that's it -- "groovy chick". For some reason, she makes me think of Mod Squad.

Hmmm, you're making me think (and I've made it this far through the day without having to do that!). I think we did use most everything up. I know I just cooked all of the bacon and eggs. We recently found some Pop Tarts that had come back in James' bag that he never fully emptied. They were not in good shape.

She rocks.

You let Pop Tarts come home??! :sad2: CRUSHED? Surely not! See, James was waving around a sandwich and he could have had a Poppy in hand.

NO!! Do tell.....:confused3 Is there a picture included to explain the greeting - or perhaps a song & dance that would make it easier for me to understand this greeting you speak of???

It a very unpredictable phenomenon! You never know when the greeting will happen- As for pictures... well... ummmm.... no, I think not! :rotfl2: Alhtough, the ratings would soar if so.

Oh you need to use link Glenn gave you. :lmao: I am happy to say she saves that greeting for special occasions.:rotfl2:

Yes, meeting mary was such a special occassion! :lmao:

While I think your picture was totally hilarious my hat goes for the lady in the screen to the right :rotfl:

Great update :thumbsup2

Thanks Kathy!

If my memory serves, you can still hear Walter at the part with the moon landing.

Absolutely, I'm glad you did.

We got burnt by "snow days". The school hadn't built any into the schedule so they just got tacked-onto the end, and we had a lot. Judy told me that for next year's schedule they're going to take snow days away from spring break. That'll probably make people who always travel of spring break mad, but it sounds good to us.

Oh heavens, there's no picture. Not that I've seen anyway. I was just teasing my friend Liesa, regarding this chapter from her TR, as told by her trip-mate.

Oh, I know my stuff. ;)

You wouldn't believe what we can do with crescent rolls.

Well, maybe you would.

Yep, same software as GB...he told me where to find it. Which is -- go to Microsoft.com, go to the download center and download their Windows Live Essentials. link It's unbelievable how easy it is to use the "stitch" software. You just take a series of pictures (a few across the skyline, middle area, ground, etc.), select the pictures in the software, and click that you want to make a stitched photograph. The software "thinks" for about 30 seconds and comes back with it done. You then just have to crop it to get rid of any jagged edges.

Good luck!
omgblinky.gif

I know, but what're you going to do? At least it wasn't Maelstrom.

I'm beginning to think that maybe I should have kept it to myself.

Oh wow, that's a pretty tall order. And you thought my SE picture was awesome....if I could find a picture from that time period, I'm sure it would make my SE picture loook good. It's a pretty safe bet that when I wore that shirt I was in my "awkward" period, since it covered so many years. :rotfl2:

Hi Rosie! No mischief being planned, but if it occurs naturally, well....

:welcome: JL!! Do you mind if I call you JL? Thanks for reading along and joining in. Yes, most people liked the color one best, according to my informal survey. I see a :rolleyes1 in your signature...are you hinting at an addition? Congrats, if so.
Do not mind at all if you call me JL... HAHA the rolly eyed humming happily along is DS 20 ( just goes along singing whatever is on his MP3) as far as an addition I am not planning on having any more Human Kids, we just kept one of Rotti pups Addy and she will not require a new car or college fund . We due want to add onto our DVC since we have two grandsons... new Dissers and Disney fanatics, and to also enjoy being with our adult children
I am enjoying reading your trip report. I was reading the part about your arrival headache. I get stress headaches, and sometimes headaches from squinting I have gotten a pair of polarized sunglasses , they have really helped. I now have to get back to reading.

Im not sure if you've looked at your avatar lately, but you live in flippin PENNSYLVANIA! you are known for your snow...I live in NORTH CAROLINA - we sorta kinda have snow..even WE have snow days built into our school calendar..and in fact, the kids did have a day taken away from their Spring Break this year b/c of all the snow we had...

so, how do WE have snow days and you guys do NOT?? :confused3

huh?? huh?? huh??

I DID!! I DID!!! and I must say that if I had ever just met a friend, and they almost instantly ripped off their shirt and exposed themself to me - they might just become my new BFF!! :lmao:

:lmao::lmao::lmao: WHO is this new poster. I like him/her/it already!!! :rotfl2:

Aww..you like me, you really like me!! :cloud9:

Well, since my avatar is Daisy, I'm going to assume Im a chic...(wait, can one assume things like that nowadays??) .:goodvibes..and..."Avery&Todd" are 2 of my 3 dogs - and since I dont have much of an imagination, I re-used the same "name" from the dog chat board that I'm a member of...

:rolleyes1

*scurries off to see if they can find out more about this illusive "Avery&Todd" person...* :cool2:

Hey I should change my name to my pets so let me see I'd be Shadow,Snoop,MaxTink Mist or SSMTM:rotfl2::rotfl2:Naw I;m just Rosie !!!!!:rotfl2:

YES!!! It was a great meal but honestly it could have just been because of the good company. :lmao: I remember I got a steak but really don't remember much about it. I thought it was good but not super spectacular. We would give it another shot in the future.

As for the rental car thing....that's an extra cost on top of plane tickets so I can see it getting pricey but I tell ya.... I would I eat cereal for a week to save money for it! :thumbsup2 We really don't want to go back to relying on the bus system ever again if we can avoid it.[/QUOTE

Enjoying the updates - working on catching up! You can find some good deals on cars if you keep looking. Also - AAA gets you alot of great discounts! We are so much more relaxed when we drive. The stress of the buses has just done us in. We figured out on our last trip where we used the buses, we spent 10 hrs waiting for buses and waiting to get on/off the buses. That is a whole day of vacation wasted! It was worth it to us to just budget that in. I think we spent $149 for a mid-sized for a week last time.

Missed another update! :sad1: Loved the picture of the lights in SE! Really cool. And that picture of you in the future......seems like that's the same look you had right after you met me!!! :rotfl2:
I wish I had kept some of my clothing from the 80's. I used to have a Alf sweatshirt, & Spuds Mackenzie shirt I wore all the time that I think would be cool to have now! Heck, I wish I still had my Shaun Cassidy satin jacket from the 70's that was the envy of my elementary school! Do you remember them?
I think all of those were before my time! :rolleyes1
Do I remember them? Of course! I even remember Shaun's older brother, David, on the Partridge Family. But naturally, I was a Susan Dey fan.
:thumbsup2 :woohoo:
I really like Spaceship Earth myself (it was my dad's favorite ride). I liked the original version the best with Walter Cronkite; this one is good too (better than the ones in the middle).
Hmm, wish I had seen the WC version!
After my little slipof the tongue in DC Glenn could well have been half man after Judy got thru with him!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:
I just can't..........toooo easy!!! :goodvibes

Since when has that ever stopped you before !!:lmao::lmao:

Now you young uns' talking about MASH as if it was a century ago !!Back in my youth it was 77 sunset strip, the Lone Ranger and Tonto !!!!:goodvibes:lmao::lmao:

Glenn's always causing grief.... he's insinuating that Pat is half man!! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

I was only going by what she wrote! She really should be more careful with her wording. Hee hee hee.

Dh could do that with Star trek and I can can do it most of the time with I Love Lucy- my favorite home from school show to watch. In fact a caught a few episodes Sun on the Hallmark channel. Still funny.

No question about it -- Lucy rocks.

Oh you need to use link Glenn gave you. :lmao: I am happy to say she saves that greeting for special occasions.:rotfl2:

Very special occasions. I met her and.....nuthin'. 'Course I was the last to arrive to the DISmeet, so maybe the greeting took place before then. But I would have thought I'd have heard about it. Or people would have still been pale white  or something.

You let Pop Tarts come home??! :sad2: CRUSHED? Surely not! See, James was waving around a sandwich and he could have had a Poppy in hand.

You can imagine my horror at discovering them and realizing that they were no longer salvagable.

I noticed that lady in the picture too. Hopefully she was writing a trip report too.

Oh, okay....whoops, I'm embarrassed. I thought the numbers by your daughters in your signature was their ages. I am up to speed now.

I am enjoying reading your trip report. I was reading the part about your arrival headache. I get stress headaches, and sometimes headaches from squinting I have gotten a pair of polarized sunglasses , they have really helped. I now have to get back to reading.

I don't usually get headaches like that, but yeah, that one did me in. Just when I wanted to start having fun.

Hey, this is the same conversation my wife and I have had for years, whenever we see the latest school schedule!

We lived in NC for a few years, '96-'99, and we never had snow days, but I think they did have to adjust the schedule due to days lost because of hurricanes. But my kids were little (or non-existent) then.

I DID!! I DID!!! and I must say that if I had ever just met a friend, and they almost instantly ripped off their shirt and exposed themself to me - they might just become my new BFF!! :lmao:

I'm assuming the B in BFF still stands for "best"?

Aww..you like me, you really like me!! :cloud9:

We're a friendly lot around here. :)

With the Daisy avatar that was my first assumption, but I'll be honest, after reading "Avery&Todd" I wasn't sure....

*scurries off to see if they can find out more about this illusive "Avery&Todd" person...* :cool2:

I haven't scurried yet....any particular place I should scurry to? Trip reports?

After my little slipof the tongue in DC Glenn could well have been half man after Judy got thru with him!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2: Everything's fine. Don't worry about it!

Put "Snoop" last...it'll make you sound gangsta.

Yeah, riiiiight.

Thanks, I owe you one.

The "good ol' days"!

Sounds like you are west of me. We have NO snow days built in. We usually have 1 or 2 so I think they should build in a couple. When I was in NY we would have 3 build in and if we did not use them we went to school for 3 extra days. No harm there right?

Aww..you like me, you really like me!! :cloud9:
Sally Field from her oscar speech?? Well I know it was from some award speech.

I was only going by what she wrote! She really should be more careful with her wording. Hee hee hee.

Between needing those new glasses the doc said I need and apparently having Danitis I need to be really careful.:lmao:

I got nuthin' too. But then again our first meet was a run in meet ( to be documented some time in 2012 or later :rotfl2:) in a very public place so I am kind of glad we just played it cool :cool2: and kept our clothes on.

Yep. I do believe it was Oscar.

1989 -- a little before my time down that way, but I remember.

Love the Pix of you and Marv:lmao:

Who are you saying jumps on every little thing we say!!:confused3:rolleyes1:rotfl2:

There were several things that got me to laughing so hard I can hardly breathe now. (Better take my shirt off...)

but oh my, that photocrapped picture!! :lmao::lmao::lmao: Must. Have. Air. :rotfl2:

I'll admit it -- I'm right there to jump, unless Marv or Dan beat me to it!

but oh my, that photocrapped picture!! :lmao::lmao::lmao: Must. Have. Air. :rotfl2:

That took me waaaay too long to do. It shouldn't be as hard to do as I made it, but I was fumbling through. (But in the end, it was worth it!)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That picture is toooo funny! You do realize, however, that isn't the first time we met.....but then I don't think there were any photos to capture that special moment! At least I made a lasting impression on you since the affect lasted that long.

Apparently I had a similar reaction to meeting you. Rare that I can be seen with my mouth shut......... :rolleyes1

Look! I posted about buses twice! I'm going to start a Bus Buster's Group!:lmao:

Oh, you mean where you were quoting Cherie but it didn't quite come off as a quote? I knew what you meant. :)

I know, there was probably just some closed-circuit security camera footage.

Hey, you said it, not me! :goodvibes
