If someone asks you about your most embarrassing moment, do you ever actually tell them the truth? I never do, because if it was that embarrassing, I certainly don't want to relive the experience and share it with others! (I was inspired to post this by reading the thread about the broken toe, since my family has wondered for 9 years about how I broke my toe. I've never told them. It's too embarrassing. )

Yes!! It's definetely always easy to find a story that's amusing, but slightly less embarassing then the real worst thing to tell someone. That way everyone laughs, and your secrets are still safe!

I never tell people..even thinking about that terrible day....I start feeling so embarresed

I've told mine but I think it's because my life is such an open book anyway!!::yes::

It's been so long since I've had a really embarrassing moment, I can't even think of one. I must be very old and boring - finally.;)

Just had mine this evening as I walked out of the department store! I fell and rolled over onto my back ...I was laughing and crying at the same time....my poor DS....he asked me if I had been drinking! (which I don't do!) Ugh...thought I would just die of embarrassment...

"She looks like a big, green pickle.."

And that's ALL I'm gonna say.......................

I have shared, but only with those really close to me. It's soooo embarssing!

No, there is no way I can share my most embarrassing/shameful moment. I choose to forget it!

Oh come on, its fun to share your most embarrassing story because everyone gets a good laugh at it...even you. At work we have a dry erase board and on the top of it is...What is your most embarassing moment? We all have had so much fun writing on it and guessing eachother's stories!! I have had multiple stories as well as other's and it's so much fun.

Ok I will try and get through this, as it has sent me into years of therapy...Sniff Sniff.... Back in high school I had a class called Lifetime Sports, which basically let us Golf, Ski, Play Racquetball and Bowling.
Anyway it getting down to the last month of school and we went to the bowling alley. I was wearing shorts, and lined up to bowl and before I took a step, I felt a hand on each hip and YOINK down came my pants. I set the ball down, pulled my pants up and went out to the bus.
To this Day I never bowl without suspenders.;)

I have too many to list (or tell)

But suffice to say there are several places I will never go back to.

Why is it I get the feeling some of our most embarrassing moments may have to do with the consumption of too many adult beverages??? Well, I know mine does anyway! :faint: Got a little too cozy with an old friend....

:rotfl: Oh, my! Sorry to laugh at your internal pain, but the word "yoink" was just too funny! I see you are from Idaho and I know a good number of people who were "de-pants-ed" in high school there!! I wonder if that is a regional thing or just a stupid high school thing? :scratchin

I have already shared with all of you my most embarassing moment (at least the most embarassing moment while at WDW). I think if you have to turn an embarassing situation into a good laugh. And the best laughs are the one where you can laugh at yourself.

What? I came in here expecting all kinds of great laughs! I was completely prepared to tell two stories that I normally don't tell anybody. Oh well. ;)

Recently at work we did a book collection of a bunch of letters from the embarrassing moments column of one of the teen magazines. Now that was fun to read. You had to wonder if some of those were totally made up.

And on that note, who here (when asked about your most embarrassing moment) tells a completely false story that would be MORE embarrassing than your most embarrassing moment if it had actually happened? :D

I share mine sometimes. I was substitute teaching one day and a 5th grade girl slipped and fell in the mud. She was mortified and couldn't get past it. I took her aside and talked to her, sharing an embarrassing moment that happened to me another day when I was subbing (I accidently backed into a bookshelf that wasn't against a wall, sending everything flying and me and the broken remains of the shelf onto the floor). She felt so much better knowing that everyone has those moments and seeing that I could laugh it off.

I share certain embarrassing moments, but not my absolute MOST embarrassing moments. Those are the ones that I don't want to relive. It's funny, though, that what really embarrasses one person isn't that embarrassing to another person. I have no problem with people knowing that I flashed the whole beach one fine summer day, while most of the people I know would find that horrendously embarrassing. (And yes, it was an accident, not intentional!) :D
