Hi,

Which are the most difficult resorts to pass ROFR? what other criteria does disney look at other than price per point?

Thanks!

Any offer could pass ROFR if it is high enough - the problem is that DVC has never provided any informaton about what levels are acceptable. Some feel that DVC has different standards for different situations (new member purchase), resorts (VB and HH may get thru with a lower purchase offer) and number of points (small contracts may have different scrutiny), but no one really knows and experiences can vary from week to week.

Since DVC is selling contracts at the sold out resorts for $95 and at SSR for $93 (with incentive discount), it could be safe to assume ROFR would pass at thos levels.

Good luck! :)

I think much of DVCs ROFR is based on the wait list for the resort. If they have a buyer on the list ready to pay $95 for say a June UY at BCV, and a resale comes along that will make DVC a profit my guess is DVC will 'buy' the resale. If for some strange reason there is NO ONE on a wait list for the resort with that UY and the price is "fair" they will let it go. With the exception that if the buyer is NOT a current member and the contract is for a 'sub-standard' size (less than 150 points).

It is all a guess. No one really knows for sure what formula Disney uses. I still think they use the heads/tails method most of the time.
