Most boring stretch of road

None of you have seen boring until you have driven through west Texas or New Mexico!!!

We drove from Amarillo to Sedona all in one day and I thought DH was going to KILL me for planning that travel day.

WOW - for boring and nothing. Thank goodness we hit Albequerque and found some civilization!!

I had to drive from Fl to CA after boot camp back in '83.

I almost DIED of boredom driving those states!!

Had to make that trip a total of three times, and I pray I never have to do it again!!

Driving from Houston, I would vote for I-10 through Louisiana. It is boring and the longest time you spend in a single state (except for FL). Mississippi and Alabama just fly by after LA! The only entertainment we have is on the "swamp highway". There is lots of fun to be had by convincing the kids that we'll visit the alligators if they don't behave.
