Most annoying ad!

For us, growing up it was always

Cal Worthington and his Dog, Spot
...go see Cal, go see Cal, go see Cal

Do you have a local company that has television ad's that are so annoying they are actually funny?

This is an Orlando classic! Appliance Direct!

And just when you thought it couldn't get any worse! They opened a Scratch and Dent workd, and yes her dress comes in Orange! :scared1:

What are some crazy ad's from your area?

I got her autograph at one of the past Orlando Home Shows. She was wearing "The Dress" at the event.

Bob Dance Automotive used to have lots of crazy ones. Unfortunately, Mr. Dance died last year. Here's a tribute video.

A year or so ago he started having his grand-daughter in them. You'll see her in the last few clips. The son has now taken over on the ads but the girl still gives the prices of the car in the most obnoxious voice. I can't find any of thecurrent ads on YouTube. Probably because they aren't goofy like the originals were.

Sakura con commercial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XP5lz2CYNR4 seriously it's an anime con and they can't even get the guy to say Ramune plus opening people "i love sushi" "i love Japan" are people you would NEVER see at a con if they are not dragged there by their kids....:confused3
Bucks county River country

.... The add from them last year was so much worse but i can't find it on youtube. They always say that last line ALWAYS

The guy has gotten fatter and has a bigger beard but the diamond is STILL in there

I have loved the Appliance Direct guy for years. I have had conversations about him in VA, DC, WV...he's an icon!!!!!:lmao:

just radioactive enough
:scared1::scared1: Scary thing is, that was probably the truth!

I didn't know that Gracie's Grandfather had died. Rest in peace Bob. Doesn't mean I like the ads any better...

Doesn't every area have some silly local ad that is more embarrassing than promotional? It makes me wonder who convinces these people that the ads are a good business strategy.

Years ago there was a tv ad for a local insurance agency. It was a line drawing of a man's head with a scratchy record playing in the background, "Call Harry F. Rice for Insurance Advice..." Funny how those things stick in your mind...forever apparently!

:goodvibes Looks like you answered your own question. ;)

The one line that has to happen is a variation of "It's gonna be HUUUUUUUGE-UH." It's horrible!

Ya! That is pretty annoying!

And have you noticed how the ads now days are louder than the TV show itself? I guess thats so if you have to go in the kitchen for a snack you can still hear the message! :sad2:

I don't know whether to be properly horrified at the REDDDDDDDD HOUSE! or find some level of understanding for what it is they are trying to do. I think horrified is winning.

For Orlando locals, the commercials I love to hate are Bob Dance and that stupid granddaughter, Gracie. Sorry but he's a goof and she's NOT a dancer!

Imagine living near them. **hanging head in shame**

Why must they always get some of the worst people in commercials and on the news? When a tornado comes through the get the guy in the trailer park with no teeth who can't speak a language we understand on the news too.

Yes! That is so freaking annoying. That is part of the reason I love to record everything and then zoom through the commercials.

I've lived in Upstate NY, I've been subjected to Billy Fucillo, as well as Jim "The Hammer" Shapiro (personal injury lawyer) ... and now I live in Orlando, and I'm subjected to Appliance Direct ... and all the local car dealer ads suck. I can never listen to the ghostbusters theme song again :(
