Just wondering which website tends to have the most accurate crowd calendar, especially the 'best park by day' calendars. Thanks!

I'm sure you will get a variety of answers on this. I cross referenced Kenny the Pirate and Easy WDW crowd calendars for our last trip and they were pretty accurate for us. Good luck.

Touring Plans works OK. Tour Guide Mike used to be quite good and then not so good....................

I struggle with this one, too. Although I do agree with a lot of the points on easywdw, we've always loved morning EMH and have never had anything but an easy start by using it. This strategy usually puts us in sharp contrast with Josh's advice. Trying to figure this out right now as our 6 month ADR window opens up pretty soon... eeek!

I love Easywdw. We went last year for the very first time. Because we followed the schedule we got to go on every big attractions and more. Then we had time left over to do whatever we wanted. It was awesome. I tell people often that when we went we went on almost all the rides. How? Just buy following his suggestions/schedule. Hard to believe but it's true!

I vote for easywdw as well. I usually agree with Josh's reasoning and we've used him for the last four trips. He has been spot on. I also love his food reviews and tons of pictures.

Josh is giving global advice that includes off site guests, and an assumption that many on site guests won't honestly make it for rope drop. Been a while since I read his site in depth..(not sure if he still is as hands on, but a couple years ago, he gave me personalized feedback, it was like having an expert Disney travel agent for free), but I always got the gist from him that morning EMH is great IF you arrive before rope drop, and clear out by lunch.

I've always been a fan of Touring Plans.com. I know they go back and update what they saw based on what they predicted. Now from the posts here...........it seems easywdw.com has been accurate. So we're visiting Dec 4th thru Dec 7th. What I see when comparing the two is easywdw.com is 2 pts higher on each day of our trip than TouringPlans.com. Curious to know if easywdw goes higher to be safer? Just a thought...:P.......Interesting to note that both sites have similar takes on the park to avoid each day...........fortunately our plan fits perfectly with those predictions.

Guess we'll see in 68 days.............:D

Easy WDW. One trip I compared it to Touringplans and it seemed to me Easy was more accurate.

I like Touring Plans. It was not very accurate for my most recent trip but they can't exactly predict the future. I don't think even Disney was expecting the crowd level we saw this month. I also like their Lines app a lot as Disney's app is not very straightforward and you can't quickly see all the wait times like you can on their app. The option to time your wait and to see the actual wait of the ride are nice features. The plan feature is also very good even though I don't use it as often as I should. I also use EasyWDW to see if they diverge too much or not. I would honestly use both.

I think EasyWDW ends up being more accurate because they are less specific. They don't rate the crowds, only which park is more or less recommended along with strategies. Plus it's free. But I still think touring plans is very good and worth the money.

EasyWDW is taking this thread by a landslide...chalk up another vote for Josh by me!! Best site out there and best crowd calendar to boot.

EasyWDW doesn't seem to have the 2nd half of December anywhere :( Unless I am missing it.

I seem to recall Josh saying something about not posting recommendations for those weeks because people just attack him that he's wrong when basically every park is INSANE. A few thoughts:

#1 - wherever you go be there 30 minutes OR MORE prior to park opening.
#2 - If you want to take advantage of EMH then consider a park hopper
#3 - consider taking a break in the afternoon. The park will be at their busiest from 11-5.

Here is last years calendar which may help: http://www.easywdw.com/news/december-2014-disney-world-preliminary-crowd-calendar/
