Hi. We will be going to WDW on Oct 9-17 (can't wait) I am concerned about moquitos & bees. I am highly allergic!! This is our 4th Oct. trip and we have never had a problem with any insects but I am afraid this year may be different because of all of the rain. If anyone that has recently returned and can give me a moquito & bee update I will greatly appreciate it. Yes! I always carry my epi -pen & benedryl for my little boy. Thanks so much!:earsgirl: :earsboy:

Just back - saw very few bees (less than three). Mosquitos are there, but not too bad. We saw them mostly at night. Bring the repellent and then you'll have no worries!

My DD and I just returned from our first trip, 9/14-9/22. We stayed at AKL and WL. We did get some type of bug bite when we went to the WL pool one night - I'm assuming it was mosquitos but can't be positive as I never saw the darn things. I don't think I saw any bees. With all the water in the area, I think the mosquitos will be the biggest issue even if WDW does some kind of abatement program, which I assume they do.

After three hurricanes, we have a ton of standing water. Where there is standing water, there will be mosquitos. Disney does a good job of controlling them, but they are fighting a big battle right now. The news stations have been telling locals to be careful going out at dawn and dusk because of the mosquito threat.

When we stayed at VWL, I had lots of bites all over my legs and arms. We never notices them at BWV or POR.
