Hey there....we are heading down 2 WEEKS FROM TODAY!!!! Am I going to need bug spray? Never stayed at FW before so I have no idea!

Kim

Thanks!! Sounds perfect! Are you staying in the cabins? We are almost neighbors in Ma as well!

Hi Kim,
No we are at SSR but have been to Fort Wilderness to go to Trail's End and my friends are at FW now and never had to have bug spray.
Yes we are very close. How is the snow this am? I was hoping winter was over.

Coming down quite steadily! It stinks! Yesterday we were outside playing in the yard....almost all grass! Today, nothing but a while blanket out there! are you getting a lot? I think we are suppose to get just under a foot here! WDW here we come!

I can't believe how much has actually fallen. I thought it was only supposed to be 3-5 inches. I think we have that now. When we go to Orlando I always come home thinking- Why do we live here again? Someone please tell me!
Do you guys fly out of Boston or Hartford? There must be delays today because our neighbor is still here and they had an 8:30 flight to CO.
Well I hope we have a nice day for travel when we go- no de-icing the plane for me.
Linda

We stayed at the WL lat year in April. LAte April. We got on the boat to go over to MK and picked up some people from the campgrounds. Afterwards, my husband said did you notice all the people with mosquito bites. He said they all looked like they had been bitten. Bring it just in case.

We just got back yesterday after two weeks there... I think we saw all of 3 mosquitos in the camper in the whole time there.... They are present in very small numbers, certainly wouldnt bother with any bug spray right now. We had pretty warm weather in the 80's for a few days too, and backed right onto a canal

We usually fly out of Providence or Hartford however we will be flying out of Boston in 2 weeks! My Mom got out of Boston this morning.....by the skin of her teeth! Her flight was at 7:00 a.m. into Tampa!

I don't know what Fort Wilderness does about mosquito control, but as a South Georgia girl I can tell you that while they are not nearly as bad as in the summer time they do come out in the winter during warm days. So I would not expect them to be bad but it would certainly not hurt to take spray especially if you might be spending anytime outdoors at the campground in the evening hours around dusk. I know we are expecting unseasonably warm temperatures down South through the end of this week. :sunny:

Since the hurricanes there hasn't been a mosquito population.
I would recommend bringing some "OFF" repellent for night time activities just in case. Its no old wifes tale that mosquitoes like some people.

Probably should mention its BEACH weather in south Florida!!!
