Hello. We are going to be making our ADR's fairly soon and know that our first night at WDW will be spent at Epcot. So we want our first dinner to be there....Im guessing that I will have trouble getting Le Cellier for the 1st night. So we are condsidering Marrakesh Restaurant. Im just a little unsure after reading the menu....has anyone eaten there? Did you like it? Was the food real spicy? What did you have, or what do you recommend. What do kids like there?

Thanx

Tracy

I wouldn't use the adjective "spicy" just "exotic". The use of spices in Morrocan cooking is different (think cinnamon with meat). We're adventurous eaters and we enjoyed our meal here (the boys enjoyed the bely dancer!!:goodvibes)

We've had good meals at Rose and Crown, Chefs de France, Coral Reef, Garden Grill (all you can eat/character meal) and Akershus (gotta luv all those princesses in one place :wizard:) Oddly enough, le Cellier is one of the places that disappointed me. I know it has it's devotees--I'm just not one of them.:confused3

Good luck deciding! We were very disappointed with Le Cellier and feel that the evening we dined there last week was very "off". We were very excited after having read all of the reviews & viewing the pictures. Unfortunately it was less than a stellar dining experience.

We loved Tutto Italia and enjoyed our dinner & "show" at Teppan Edo also.

If Marrakesh is better than the TANGIERINE Cafe I think you'll be pleased. We used a Counter Service credit at the Tangierine and were pleasantly surprised.

I asked about Marrakesh a month or so ago, and got mostly positive reviews. I made an ADR there for August and am hoping for the best!

My future husband and I ate there this past December, and I must say, we were a little skeptical, BUT, we were pleasantly surprised!! The food was really good, and so was the atmosphere. They had a belly dancer, the music was good , as was the food . You will enjoy it!:thumbsup2

This is old... my family ate there in June 2006 (me, DH, and 2 sons 17 and 19 at the time). We really enjoyed it. The food was different but it ended up being pretty tasty. Then in August 2006 we did a family reunion and all the "guys" went (again, my 2 sons, their grandpa and about 3 other guy cousins - all late teens early 20's - except for my Dad). They guys all loved it and many of the kids had never tried the lamb and they sampled their grandpa's and were all surprised. My father is quite fussy about his food (he has been a chef/cook his whole life) and he enjoyed the food when he was there. The belly dancer was also a big hit for everyone! No one complained or said the food was bad... so I say try it - since you'll never know if you like it unless you go!:thumbsup2

We ate there last week and loved it! The food was great. I had the beef couscous, and it wasn't that spicy. My husband got the "feast" and we all ate a little of it. So yummy! The performers and belly dancer made it that much better!

We've got some picky eaters in our family and everyone loved their food! It was one of our surprise favorites!
