Morocco Pavilion

For me it is my fav country at Epcot! I think visually it is very stunning. I am always drawn to it and always take tons of pictures when there. So peaceful too. And Mo Rockin is great! Plus I love the food there too.

Bumping thread up...

What gorgeous photos...keep them coming. I still have never even been to WS!!! (Only been to WDW once, and trip was cut short so we missed our last day which was planned to be WS.) When we go back in October...we are staying 11 days this time and I plan to explore every nook and cranny there! Thanks for sharing. :)

I've always thought Morocco was beautiful. I haven't spend quality time there for a while, only giving it a cursory glance. I'll have to revisit it this summer.

These are some my favorite pictures from our last trip.

They have the most amazing alcoholic drinks!
They are very generous on the alcohol! 2 of those and i was feeling great! :goodvibes

Another fan of the food here :thumbsup2
But the band sucks

The food is Great. Even my kids love it. And as a musician, I can assure you that the band does not suck. It may not meet one's individual taste, but the musicianship is top notch.

We love morocco! One of my favorite memories at wow is sitting outside eating my combo platter and listening to mo rockin'

My second favorite "country" in EPCOT. Great food. Smells like leather.

Also, Tangierine Cafe is the best CS spot in Epcot IMHO....

i:thumbsup2
we always make our way here to eat each trip

I have never been to Morocco so I have no real standard of comparison other than what I see in the media, but the pavillion has always appealed to me as seeming authentic. I really do not love gift shops but always enjoy poking around in Morocco. I find the intricate architectural details fascinating. It may be as "wrong" as the mish-mash of styles and icons that are pushed together in England and in Italy, but I don't know enough to know it.

With great trepidation I agreed to dinner at Restaurant Marrakesh this year. Middle Eastern foods do not appeal to my palate.

Darned if it wasn't one of the best meals of the trip! DH ordered a fish dish that I sampled and hated, but I had a couscous that was divine.

Hope some of the comments will help the OP look at the pavillion with different eyes on his next trip, just as he has encouraged people on other threads to look at details they have skipped.

It's been said that it's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt. I think this is very applicable to me when trying to talk about the Morocco Pavilion. The thing is, I really don't care much for this pavilion, in fact it is by far my least favorite of all the countries in the World Showcase. If I were to try and talk about it either 1 of 2 things would happen – I would either come as sounding pretty foolish trying to talk about something that I really care little about, or I would come across as being overly negative, which I really don't want to do.

I really can't put my finger on it why I don't care for this pavilion. I've been in it quite a few times. I've taken time to explore all the little shops, and look into the nooks and crannies, but I still don't care that much for it. If it wasn't for my wife (who appreciates it much more than I do), I would probably be content to just skip it most of the time.

However, I know that there are quite a few people who love this pavilion, and rather than alienating or offending them, I thought I would do something a bit different for this review. Rather than me going on and on about it, I thought I would post some pictures I've taken, and then let others tell what they like about this land. Rather than me saying anything negative, I thought it would be better to have others share positive comments.

So here's your chance to say what you like (or if you prefer, what you don't like) about the Morocco pavilion.

For not liking the pavillion you took beautiful pictures.

We just returned from a wonderful 7 day vacation, (6/27 - 7/3), and visited Morocco many times. It's peaceful and a beautiful spot both day and night. My wife and daughter love spending time in the shops and always seem to find something special to bring home. This trip, one of the cast members taught my daughter Laura how to write her name in Arabic. She's also danced with the belly dancer. You're always sure to find Aladdin and Jasmine hanging around. Spend the time talking with the cast members and you'll be amazed what you can learn about Morocco. Don't pass by this country!!

I'll bite. I don't care for Morocco. I don't care for the architecture, the food, the scents. It simply does not appeal to me, and we are always happy to skip it. (Although now I am tempted to go look for Aladdin & Jasmine.)
Maybe it's b/c I have no desire to go to the real Morocco? Whereas I do want to visit Germany, Italy, Canada, China, Japan, France again, etc.

We love the Morrocco pavillion. The Japan pavillion is my favorite place in all of WDW, but for countries around the WS, Morrocco is my #2.

I agree with what others in this post have said pertaining to the Tangerine Cafe. It's our favorite CS place in all of the "World". We get seats out back behind the TC in the alley and it's like we've been transported to Marrakesh. It's quiet back there, hardly anyone walks through, and with the themed music and the heat you would almost never know you were in the middle of theme park.

Now, that said, I do have to say that even though the food is amazing, I think the punk teens/young adults who work in the Tangerine might be the rudest bunch in all of WDW. I still love it though, but it's a far cry from the ultra polite and attentive castmembers in Japan.

We also love Tangerine Cafe and my DDs have loved getting henna tattoos.
We also love Tangerine Cafe and eat there every trip...
I agree with what others in this post have said pertaining to the Tangerine Cafe.

Just to clarify -- it's the "Tangierine" Cafe. Note the spelling in this photo...

It's a geo-pun. Tangiers. A city in Northern Morocco. A Tangierine could conceivably be someone from Tangiers... :rolleyes1

Tangierine Cafe - my favorite food in all of WDW - especially for a vegetarian.

I also love the music.

I LOVE the Morocco Pavilion! First, it's beautiful and the attention to detail is amazing (as always with Disney). When you get off the main path, you can really imagine that you're there. It's even aged - with chip and worn tile.
Also, Tangierine Cafe is the best CS spot in Epcot IMHO....
And after reading a post about it the other day, I think I'm going to get henna tattoo's for my daughter and me next time!

where in the paviliion can you get the henna? About how much , if you remember? thanks

Love the Morocco pavillion:lovestruc- I could spend hours there just hanging out.

One of my favorite pavilions. Morocco has the best looking female CM's of any other country.
