Morning Security on the Harbor Side

We aren't going until August but I was wondering what security was looking like in the mornings on the Harbor side of the esplanade? I saw some scary pictures of 40 minute security line in the morning and wondered if it was still looking like that. How early to get in line for rope drop? We will be in the parks on a Monday, Tuesday (for Magic Morning) and Thursday.

It's different every day. They don't seem to have a consistent set up.

completely depends on how many metal detectors they have working, hwo many workers in each line, how many people bring bags, strollers, and if you are carrying a bag etc. I've had it take 2 minutes and have had it take 15ish minutes.

Yesterday we got to security at about 8:15am and the lines were quite long. I don't know how long they actually took because we got a little pixie dust and ended up being able to skip them, but when we did we had been standing in the line for about 5 minutes and were nowhere near the front.

Today we got to security at about 7:15 and were through within a few minutes. Both days they had lines open in the middle and on both sides.
