Morning routine in Disney?

I used to be the 6am awake and ready and standing by the door, but our touring style has evolved into having more resort time, a lot more rolling out of bed whenever and wandering to the pool, arriving at the parks in the afternoon/evening and staying until close. Feels more vacationy that way, more relaxed.

Oh yeah, the stroller was always re-packed before I went to bed. DD loved the splash zones so she really did go through 2 outfits/day. With little ones there is just lots to think about. As long as you are one step ahead you'll have a great vacation! :)

I'm still weighing the pros and cons of bringing our own stroller vs. renting one at Disney. Do I really want the hassle of checking ours it at the airport and lugging it around on the buses? Renting one is convenient, but they look uncomfortable. Honestly, as long as they have storage and can help us get her from Point A to Point B, I may go that route. She normally loved being pushed in the stroler anyway so she may not sleep in it at all. LOL!

My boyfriend and I are generally early risers, I guess naturally from being up for work. We both shower the night before, since we feel icky when we come back and also to save time in the morning. I keep my park bag packed, or pack a new bag the night before, like if I need to change to my water park bag. My boyfriend does the same, that way we can just grab and go. Neither of us drink coffee so we wake up, throw on our clothes, fix our hair/wash face/brush teeth/etc, and head on out. We by no means rush, but we also don't tend to need an hour or so to get ready, even in regular day to day life. This upcoming trip is the first time with just the two of us going alone, so we planned our days to give us more of a time buffer in the morning that way if we want, we can sleep in and not feel rushed.

This thread is making me excited to be there - I love mornings in Disney!

We are typically rope drop people so I'm usually up around 6:45 to shower, do hair, makeup etc (though this might change when we go in the September humidity!). DF gets up around 7:15. He showers and I put on Stacy while we both get ready! We try to be out the door a little before 8. We usually bring some granola bars with us and have those while we wait for the bus.

I found it helpful as we took Magical Express and I couldn't of imagined at the time holding her while trying to get through the airport. For my upcoming trip in September, DD will be 2
and we are going to rent one as we will be needing to take her car seat with us.

We tend to stay out late so mornings are late. There are times when we close down the park and don't get back to our resort until 2:30 AM. So we sleep in until 9 and then get up and do it all over again. I have teenagers and they prefer late hours and sleeping in. Although even sleeping in we typically only get about 6 hours of sleep by time we get to bed.

We brought DD's stroller when we went last year in the hopes that she would nap and she didn't nap the whole week! I'm glad we had it though. It was never a hassle on the buses. This trip, I'm bringing an umbrella stroller so she has somewhere to sit if she wants. Her legs get tired easily. It's really easy at the airport too. No charge to have it as part of your luggage, and you can take it all the way to the plane and someone takes it from you and puts it under the plane, then has it waiting for you when you get off your flight.

As for our morning routine, we are early risers. I tend to get up first, around 6:15. I shower at night, so just do my other getting ready stuff. DH takes about 10 minutes to get ready so I try to let him sleep as long as possible so he's not a grumpy park goer! DD gets up a little before 7 and it doesn't take long to get her ready. We are out the door by 7:30.

Loved my wake up calls every single morning! :) We were up by 7am every day aside from the one morning I said we'd just wake up whenever we wanted as we needed a bit of a 'break', all of our fp+ were in the afternoon anyways. I packed breakfast snacky type foods for the room for my daughter, we'd grab coffee on the way out, and be at the parks for opening. Having everything ready the night before really helps things go smoothly, as well as the showering the night before too!

We all shower at night so we can move quickly the next day. I get up 1.5 hours before park open, fix my hair and do light makeup, and get the kids' clothes out (shirt/shorts/socks in ziplocs for each kid per day). Then I wake the kids and have them dress and brush teeth while I double check my bag and the double stroller. We grab a quick breakfast at the resort, hail a taxi and off we go for rope drop.

That's a great point since I'm not sure where our gate is going to be when we land. Thank you, I'm going to use this we we consider which to do.

We like to make RD. Disney vacations are not for relaxation. We take other types of vacations for that. My DD5 is an early riser anyway regardless of what time she goes to bed. I am usually up around 6 to shower and get ready and then I wake my DH up. I try to make sure the stroller is packed the night before. We then head down to grab breakfast, and if time allows sit and eat or eat as we wait for the bus.

Last summer we had our first trip with FP+, and it made a big impact on our mornings. MUCH more relaxed now. We don't exactly fit the A&E demographic, so we don't have to make that particular sprint any day of our trip.

There are four of us -me, DW, DD18, DS15. We wake up around 7ish. Out of the room 30 minutes later. Grab something at food court if anyone is hungry. On to park for grand adventure until closing time or we get pooped, whichever comes first. Repeat every single day of the trip. I quit making early breakfast ADRs years ago, so we won't have anywhere we must be before 10am.

DH and I aren't quite rope drop people since I have a habit of hitting snooze, but we are usually there within 30 minute of the park opening to close. I try to give us an hour to get ready (which I mostly use up with snoozing) and 30 to get to the park. We wash up at night after we get back since we usually feel gross, but still shower in the morning. We don't eat until we are in the parks and we don't do morning ADRs usually. At MK, we drop by what is now the Starbucks for some coffee and a quick this-or-that and don't really sit down to eat until lunch. We also aren't mad dashers for the crazy popular attractions so that kinda makes starting the day pretty chill. In MK, we always do the Haunted Mansion first, then head into Frontierland and hit Tomorrowland land last with Fantasyland and Adventureland happening in the middle of the day so we clearly don't care too much about hang out in lines, lol.

(This trip we do have a BOG breakfast scheduled at 8am when MK opens at 9 so that's gonna be totally new for us in a number of ways, haha.)
