I need some tips and advice for wedding day time line. I've got the info from Beaute Speciale and also the Arndts about there times and such, but what should the guys do in the morning for breakfast and then inbetween and then again for lunch until it's actually time for them to get ready aroun 2:15pm. DF wants to play golf, but not everyone plays golf in his party and if they did that's 7 people playing golf the morning of MY WEDDING and I know that golf can be give or take 5-6 hours on 18 holes. As we've been many times to WDW golf and it depends how busy they are and also what type of people are in front, etc. I don't feel safe taking that chance so I'm asking that he play golf a few days or so before.

So what to plan for the guys the morning of to get them away from the resort room areas. What have some done or what do you Brides have planned??

Pool time? Planned Breakfast somewhere that took a few hours?

Also what's a good morning of for the girls breakfast? I want something light, non-messy and yummy for everyone to snack and munch on during the getting ready stages. Did you bring a few snacks then order food?? We might (if available) book the turret suite (for the girls the night before and me and DF the night of- same room) which I believe is concigere so what if any thing breakfast foods are included or available??

well i've put some thought into this.... twice (we changed from 5pm to 2:30).

i definately want something light, and i don't feel like my nerves that day will be able to do a buffet---i will need to be served. kona is pretty amazing, it's relaxing and their coffee puts me in a happy place. so kona is our breakfast for the ladies. maybe shop around the monorail--stop in basin white for some smell goods :) pick up a light lunch at gasparillas and maybe a bring chips, etc to munch on while getting ready. since gasparillas is right there you can play it on your schedule which will make the day a bit smoother. you could also order room service--sounds expensive, but phenominal :cutie: if i have the money that day... it will be room service.

my concern about pool time is turning red and tanlines---eek. if your skin is too red, the airbrushing will look ashy and it will be hard to cover :( i'm going to try to stay out of the pool at least the day before and the day of.

i think i'm going to send the boys to raglan road for an early lunch. they won't want to get up as early as us, but will definately want food and a beer. i can't eat there since i got sick on it once, and he LOVES it.... so i think that's a "guy-ish" place that could work pretty well. they can wander DD until it's time to go. i feel like it's a manly setting they will like. just tell them not to go to disneyquest and do virtual reality right after :rotfl2: but that is an idea.... send them to disneyquest for a few hours!!

just a couple ideas!

I have no idea what the guys are going to do...DF doesn't really want to do anything but our wedding isn't until 7:30, so I think he should plan something.

Anyways, I booked breakfast at Kona for our girls. I recently ate there a couple of weeks ago and loved it!

I'm not sure what my men will do on the day of the VR. I know that it sounds mean, but I don't care what they do just so long as they are not around!!!!
The day before the VR, when we ladies are taking tea at the GF, the men will be having lunch at the Dolphin Fountain and then having a round of crazy golf at Fantasia Gardens - maybe that could be an option for some people on the morning of their weddings.

Our wedding was at 5 pm, we were starting pictures at 3 pm. I met the girls for brunch at 10:30 am, we went to 1900 Park Fare. It was fun to take pictures with the characters and everyone could eat as much or as little as they wanted. DH got his stuff together and met the guys for lunch at Kona Cafe at around 12:00 or so.

Make-up and Carolyn Allen's arrived around 12 pm. Then we all got ready, photo/video got there around 2:30 and we headed to the lobby around 3. We were in RPC so if the girls wanted a snack they could have one. No one really ate much though, maybe a cookie but that was about it. We also had bottled water for everyone, my MOH was kind enough to pick some up from Walmart for us.

It's a really long day, so I wouldn't plan anything that would tire you out too much. Our rehearsal was the night before and we had all been going to the parks everyday. Everyone was pretty relieved to not have to get up too early. ;)

I also wouldn't plan anything outside because of sunburns / tanlines. I got sunburned a few days before at the park and there are a few pictures that I don't like because you can see tan lines. It's really only in three pictures and I have tons of pictures I do like and you can't tell but it still bothers me. :upsidedow

Oh I love the idea of a publix platter to eat while getting ready! Our ceremony is @ 4:00pm but we're doing pictures @ the GF before @ 2, so my hair/makeup starts @ 11. H will probably go out to lunch with friends/family and then go get ready in someone else's room. We have 3 kids so I imagine that they'll play @ the pool area or park. I agree with Luv about burning in the sun, so if you opt for sun then be sure to wear lots of sunblock!

Our ceremony was at 2:30 pm. In the morning, all the girls got together for breakfast at the hotel eatery (we were at Port Orleans) and were back in my room by 9:30 am for hair/make up. So we wouldn't run into the men, they had lunch scheduled for 11:30 am in the eatery and used my father-in-law's hotel room (also in Port Orleans) as their base camp. My husband took the time in the morning and before the ceremony to relax with the guys, while I was getting ready with the girls. We thought it worked out well!

Maybe the boys could play mini-golf the day of? It wouldn't take nearly as long as golf.... and would probably be something they'd enjoy - whether they are golfers or not!

Thanks everyone great ideas!!! I'm not so worried about the girls I think it's a great idea to have a few different light breakfast items available to munch on while getting ready like fruit bagels etc.

I love the idea for putt putt golf!! THANKS!! :goodvibes

DF and the guys are playing golf on the morning of the wedding, and there tee time is actually kind of late (but it was $30 cheaper each to start later). This is something DF really wanted to do, so I just told him, this is the time you HAVE to leave the golf course. If you are on hole 18, great, if you are on hole 10, oh well. He understands this and because it is going to be HOT, this is a tough course, and DF is getting the guys gift cards to use towards golf (so the guys are only paying like $20), and don't think it will be a huge issue if they have to stop a little early. They are going to get a quick lunch at the clubhouse too, and then they will head back to the POLY to get ready. I think it will work out.

As for the girls, since the wedding isn't till 5 and we aren't having hair/make-up done professionally, I am planning on having a relaxing morning. I am going to get lunch with my mom and sister at the GF Cafe, where I am deff. planning on eating light (I'm thinking fruit and yogurt). Then as of now I am thinking some pool time. Laying out is something that helps me relax, and I am not too worried about burning as I am fairly dark skinned and never really have any issues. I have also been looking for a strapless bathing suit which I plan on wearing anytime I am laying out before the wedding to avoid tan lines. Then I will be getting ready, and having the girls over around 2:00 to get ready too. I am planning on ordering a tray of mini sandwhiches for the girls to nibble on while getting ready.

I think it's a personal preference of what the morning of you wedding will be like. Whatever is going to help you relax and have an enjoyable morning I think is the way to go! HTH.
