Now that I am over my initial fear of eating in the kitchen...
now I am worried about our (me and DH) etiquette skills.
I know these are dumb questions, but here goes anyway:

1. I seem to recall reading that they bring the utinsils out with each course. Is that correct? I can just see me and DH poking each other to make sure we use the right fork. I don't remember us ever having that many courses before. I know the whole "start out and work in" but heck! when do I use a spoon or when do I use a fork which goes into the next question---

2. Although we do eat at nice restaurants, I am worried about some of the foo-foo food - not that we won't like it, but more like will we KNOW HOW TO EAT IT!! Please, somebody, tell me to quit worrying and that the chef and even our V & A will not think we are total idiots. I promise to be polite and tip well!

Don't worry about it!! Just don't try to eat any peas with your bread knife (or soup with a fork) and you'll be fine!!
Actually, no one is going to be standing around watching you eat.
And tho the food preparation can sound exotic, once it's served you won't have any trouble in deciding which utensil to use.

The chefs table is not a place you have to worry about etiquette skills...lol. It is wonderful...the cooks are all very busy, they still make time to chat if you want.

Hubby and I had the room all to ourselves..it was excellent.

Thanks for the encouragement! My husband thought I was dumb to be worried about it, but I didn't want anyone thinking "what are these low class people doing in a high class restaurant!"
lol

Don't Worry. I have not eaten at V&A's but we ate in the kitchen at Emerils in Las Vegas, and I tried things I would not normally try. And nothing was too Yucky. They ask what your likes are so just tell it like it is.

Have a wonderful time

Kae
