Please all wise DVC owners give me advice:

I have passed ROFR on two resale contracts and am waiting for the estoppels to close.

100 Point Contract Beach Club - Feb UY
150 Point Contract Saratoga- March UY

Do you have any suggesstions regarding membership number and how to set it up with Disney? Can we have these both under one membership number so as not to have the transfer issue? What would you suggest? I read a post that said that Disney would do so if requested, but it had to be at the outset and once done would not be changed?

TYTY:love:

Sorry, but my understanding is that it cannot be done. DVC will only put contracts with the same use year under the same membership no.

I don't know the answer, one way or the other......but it can't hurt to call MS and ask. The worst that can happen is that you find out you can't do it (for which you're already prepared). Good Luck! Enjoy your new points!:)

To have multiple contracts under one membership, they must all have the same Use Year. Since your contracts have two different UYs, they will be set up as two completely separate contracts with a unique membership number for each contract.

Two of my contracts contain multiple resorts (same use year). However, they retain their resort status and cannot be combined at the 11 month mark.

So for example, my June UY contains BCV points and VB points. I can reserve BCV at the 11 month mark, but only using my BCV points to do so.

With my DH, we actually have a total of 3 different memberships and UY's. Works for us though!

thanks for the help. that was my understanding, but another thread about use years hinted at a different outcome. when i complete the closing and interact with MS -if anything changes I will be sure to post! TY
:)

In the past MS has been more flexible on a case by case basis with multiple use years of a single owner but generally you'll want to arrange reservations by using each contract for reservations and linking any applicable stays rather than doing transfers. With good planning the only time you should even need to consider transfers would be for the odd single nights reservation and possibly if you decided to use points for non DVC stays where the points must be in one contract to proceed.
