More time for airport security?

Has anyone been through an airport in the last couple of days? Should we allow more time than usual to get through airport security based on recent events and increased security?

We're flying to WDW in a couple of weeks from a major US city and I'm anticipating needing to get to the airport 3 hours before our flight instead of our normal 1 1/2 to 2 hours before to get through security. Thoughts?

My uncle flies for business 2-3 times a week, he said he really hasn't noticed any difference so far this week from last week.
