I saw that Caroline posted on me but I wanted to let everyone know how I am doing.
The Taxol is wicked. It doesn't cause the low counts but it causes terrible bone and joint aches. I started on Friday with a sore neck and shoulders. then Saturday the pain went down to my stomach area. On Sunday it included my legs. Imagine charley horses that never stop. That is the type of pain. OUch.
I was told that if the pain got unbearable to call the office. Well the pain got unbearable on Saturday afternoon. Of course the pharmacy was closed and the Dr couldn't call in a narcotic to a CVS or other one I don't use. So I took some Percocet from Richie. Luckily he had some.
Yesterday the pain was better, but this morning I woke up with the worst back spasms. The Dr called me in Percocet and Ativan. I don't know if I feel the pain anymore, frankly I don't think I care. I am in lala land. Hoping for a better tomorrow, at least I am not in the hospital.
I am way behind on my thank you notes. I just can't believe how generous and thoughtful you all are. I haven't even met some of you and you are sending me gifts to cheer me up. I am blessed to be a part of this DIS family.
Richie is doing well. He gave up smoking (he snuck a butt that he found in the yard the other night but I smelled it on him and yelled). His color is so good now, I always thought he had a grey tint to him, now he has pink cheeks again.
We have been through alot but this year is going to be great.
Please all of you make plans to go to the big Pin Event in September. I will be there and want to meet all my new friends and see all my old friends again.
