Last week I decided to take a few photos of the snow around our house. Keep in mind that these photos were taken after some of the snow had melted and settled down a bit.

The pine tree at the end of our driveway. This was our Christmas tree for the first Christmas that we celebrated in our new home in 1986.

Just inside the sliding glass door, our Christmas cactus is blooming again. This cactus was delivered to the hospital when Sue gave birth to James back in November 1985. It is truly a miracle for a plant to have lived so long in our house.

Wow, we haven't had anything like that in Chicago this year (knock on wood!).

And your cactus is beautiful. I too have a cactus that is about 18 yrs. old. My Dad gave me a cutting from one of his, and it is still going strong.

great pics....love the Christmas cactus. My grandmother has one that is over 65 years old.....she received it as a christmas gift from her mother the first year she was married in 1936
