More Rush issues

Time will tell if he is as hard on himself as he has been on other drug abusers on his show. Is a move to Europe in order?

Whoa! First we need to find out if Rush is even guilty. How many times have people that work for celebraties made accusations against their employers that turned out to be false? So many times I can't even count them.

I didn't comment on guilt or innocence, I just wondered if he would be as hard on himself as he is on others who are accused, and especially convicted of using illegal drugs. To paraphrase, he basically says they should move to Europe.

Why is he not denying the drug usage? It's easy to say, "I don't use drugs!" Wow, he was all over the "Just say no" campaign, not to mention all his references to Clinton's sexcapades. What kind of an example does a drug addict set? Surprising. Disgusting.

Oh please... A housekeeper sells a story to the National Enquirer for a 6 figure fee, and since it is about a conservative it must be true    ... I bet you believe Elvis is alive also

I thought all you conservatives took FOX News was gospel.

***.... Fox news is reporting on an allegation made by a housekeeper. Do you really think every allegation made agaisnt everyone must be true.

If (and I say "IF") this turns out to be true, I'd be curious to know "IF" this is connected to his hearing implant surgery. More than a few well know figures have become dependent on pain killers after using them legally. Chevy Chase is a good example. He came dependent on pain killers he took legally after developing back problems from his trademark pratfalls.

SO?

A drug abuser is a drug abuser. Any qualifications that come forth will be nothing but damage control. He rags on "hippies" and drug abusers every chance he gets. Anything other him and his fans than calling themselves on the same the carpet is a mark on their credability.

Maybe the fool will think about things more in the future before he opens that big mouth of his.

I think that it is interesting that Rush issued a statement today that he did not have knowledge of any investigation. He did NOT issue any statements denying the drug allegations.

I wonder if his resignation as a football analyst was due to the drug allegations. I was surprised that Rush resigned from ESPN so quickly. He loves controversy and being in the spotlight, and he isn't one to back down from his opinions. Surely ESPN expected him to make some controversial statements- isn't that why they hired him, for ratings?

I also found it to be curious that he resigned at midnight from the ESPN job. Who resigns in the middle of the night? What's the hurry? Couldn't he resign the next morning? Maybe not, if the Enquirer is about to print drug allegations.

I bet a lot of people are tuned into the Rush radio show tomorrow.

Could you please enlighten us with some direct comments he has made on the those addicted to drugs?

You can use the search button as well as I can. I have no interest in playing the "I don't condsider that source credible game" with you. It's not a guarded secret, it's more like a sound bite to attract more ditto heads.

Sorry, but I don't buy "everybody knows" arguments. You say he jumps on drug addicts "every" chance he gets then let's see some examples. The burden of proof is with the accuser.

You know very well people, maybe even yourself, have then turned around and said the source we give is not credible. Got to love conservatives... give us evidence.... then.... uhhh... that evidence is not credible.

Well I'm going to be honest and say I am not going to able to find quotes outside of sites that have an anti-Rush slant.

Frankly, I don't care if you believe it or not Geoff. Maybe somebody else will come along and indulge you and you can play the spin game with them.

But first you have to be able to find some evidence.... Talk about spin! Nice dodge.

Personally I DESPISE the man.

As far as I am concerned people who want to tell the rest of us how we should live had better not even have HOUSEKEEPERS on the wrong side.

ESPN's Sunday NFL show lost a viewer when they hired Rush. I can go back now! As far as I am concerned people should be hired because they now something about FOOTBALL. Rush knew about as much as I do, but I have more sense than to say what Rush said......

I'm sure that ESPN will be thrilled to have you back - it will no doubt make all the difference in the world to their bottom line...

If he broke the law, then by all means, throw the book at him. However, I find it pretty sick that people are happy about this - personally, I think it's sad that people would celebrate someone else having an addiction.

You know I figure ESPN did not care. I decided that I don't listen to Rush on the radio, why should I on TV. That is the great thing about America we have a choice (and more then one pre-game show!)
However, I am happy he is gone. (By the way, I also thought hiring Dennis Miller for Monday night football was not the greatest idea in the world! I like my sports people to know more than I do and not because some producer is prompting them!)

ESPN probably is eating this up. They are getting lots of press and I bet the ratings are WAY up this Sunday just to see how they react.

Anybody else and I would agree with you, but this is Rush. He better hope his fans stick by him because he has worked hard to alienate everybody else.
