More ride closures for next year

Nooo, Phantom Manor is shut when i go, its one of my fave rides!!.

We didn't go on PM on our last trip but had definately decided to go on it this trip but if the list is right then it will be closed

Just remember rides need to be shut for maintenance, i would rather know that rides are being maintained properly then go on it and have a accident.

Yes of course you're right but I think that closing one of the main/favourite rides during the xmas season is not a very good idea on Disney's part.
I'm hoping that this may not be 100% and I'm keepin everythin crossed until Disney confirm it or not!!!

Afiraid disney always do this we went to WDW on the 2nd Jan, and Splash Mountain was shut for the entire we were there (and afterwards), and that was still classed as the xmas season. The parks are at their quietest in Jan so thats when they do a lot of refurbs. I guess that may be one of the reasons why the prices are cheaper?

Thanks for these - we're quite lucky this year and nothing is closed for the entire duration of our trip.

We arrive on the 4th, so I guess we'll be riding pirates a lot on our first day

My top tip for POTC. If you go straight after the parade (or even during if you dash after watching it up by small world) you can walk straight on and stay on! We did this every day and it was dead! Even got a boat to ourselves one go!!

Cheers Torsie, but we almost always get both of these anyway because DB's autism qualifies him for a special access pass which works for any ride, including in the studios.

In the winter, pirates is quiet enough to not usually get people queuing at the disabled queue point and because they rarely use all gates in the winter, we get the boat to ourselves.

Sweeet. I cant wait for winter! SUmmer was soooo busy, that I think January might spoil us!!

Thanks for that. POTC is closed for the whole time we're there! I love that ride! I've noticed that Phantom Manor appears to be closed from 19th Feb until 13th March - that's a long time, isn't it? Is DLRPMagic usually 100% reliable?

It's usually right...

I guess Phantom manor is due a good dusting again - we've probably made it too clean

ooo shame potc is shut, i think they tend to close one major one each season, when we went in jan 07, potc was shut for our stay, then in jan 08 it was open but thunder mountain was shut. although it is disappointing they are shut, there is plenty of magic casey junior and thise little boats things are always shut in jan!!
