We are headed to the world in August this year, our 1st time going in August (we have done July before). :cool1:

We are AP holders and our plan for the trip after that was for April 2015, however, we got a deal on Turks and Caicos for April that we couldn't pass up, so we booked that instead!! :hyper:

Now, we have to move our 2015 Disney trip to summer, so would go sometime between mid-June (when the kids get out of school) to Mid August (AP's expire 8/16/15).

So, never having been in June before, is there a ton of rain??? How are crowds? We have done July and that was fine except for the tour groups, which makes DH rule out another July trip.

So, would you do June or August? Pros/cons of either?:confused3

Here are rain averages.

And anticipated crowds for 2014.

And 2015.

You're likely to see rain in either month, rainy season starts late May and goes through early October. It's probably going to be hotter in August, but you're still going to see 90's on either trip.If you could go late August I would suggest that as crowds will die down but if its between June or August I would go June but really not that big a difference.

Yeah, we are doing late August this year and the crowds should be ok. But next year it has to be before 8/16.

Looks like June crowds are similar to July, which we didn't have a problem with, so.....

Funny, June is the ONLY month I have not visited WDW.

One difference between June and August, is that by August, we are - or should be - acclimated to summer heat. That is very important. Ninety degrees in June is going to FEEL much hotter than 90 in August- UNLESS- you have spent the entire summer in a 65 degree office/house. June is probably no big deal for folks who live in FL, but will be a big deal for folks from the north.

Last August it was cool enough that we wanted long pants at night! FL gets hot in the afternoon, but the heat does not get trapped at night. FL is a peninsula, so usually evening are nice. - unless there's a storm.

August is more likely to be hurricane month.
