More Questions About Disneyland Hotel

Hi,

thank you everyone for replying to my previous threads, it is so helpful to be able to get advice before our trip (monday - YIPEE).

I have a few more questions

- whats the pool like, heard it's really cold?
- what sort of choice is there are breakfast - and would it be really tacky to get extra rolls etc to take out for later, and if you do this are you supposed to be discreet or does nobody care!
- in the Inventions restaurant is there much choice for the kids

I'd be excited too if I was going on Monday

We went with DD 8, DS 5 and DD 3 to Inventions and they had no trouble finding food they like. There is smile face potatoes and dippers

We went last December. We did not use the pool since it was too cold to swim. Breakfast choices - Granville's Streakhouse (very good), Goofy's Kitchen and the Coffee shop. DTD is very close and has many selections. I did not take out any food, so cannot help there.

Sadly I haven't yet managed to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, so I can't comment on the temperature of the pool. But I haven't heard complaints that it's too cold to swim in - though I believe it is quite small!!

We met people who stayed there last year. I think there is a selection of rolls, pastries , yogurts and fresh fruit. We acquired yogurts at breakfast for DD from the SL breakfast and we did try to do it discreetly but we saw people openly doing it. Don't worry

Inventions did have typical kiddy food as part of it's buffet (fish fingers, chicken nuggets )and also more healthy options of pasta and fresh baked pizza and a selection of bread rolls. They had lots of fresh fruit and yogurts , choc pudding and even sweets which the characters gave out.

We have stayed 2 times at the DLH but we never used the pool. But we saw the whole wellness area. And I have to tell you the pool is very small! If you want to use it you should do it during the day and not in the evening hours when everyone returns from the parks and want to relax. But the whole wellness area is very nice themed and worth a visit!!!
