more questions about AKL

I am spending 2 nights at AKL in two weeks. I am travelling with DDs 9 and 12 and DM who is in her 70's. Main goal is to see animals but of course the kids love the parks, we have gone every year since the youngest could walk! Any room tips, ideas, etc. for this very short trip would be greatly appreciated. I have requested joining rooms, one with bunk beds- but really want to know the top things you would suggest about the lodge and any great room numbers or floors.

We recently stayed in room 4219 on Kudu trail. No bunk beds but we had fantastic views of the animals. the room overlooks the pond (?) where the pelicans congregate and we had good views of the feeding stations.

We ate at Boma several times and the food is wonderful. If you get the chance please try it (if only for my wifes sake !!! - she still goes on about the place)

We enjoyed the storytelling around the firepit.

The whole place is amazing. have fun.

Be sure to check out the Sunset room. It's located near the front desk (same side) as you head toward the back of the resort. With any luck you'll have a breathtaking sunset to view while you're there. Even if the sunset is only so so, this room has beautiful furnishings and is a nice oasis of quiet away from the noise. Bring a camera!

We just got back from 5 days at AKL . we stayed in 4513 with a savannah view. great location . we saw lots of diff. animals and it was quiet and seamed to be private on the terrace. rest. all very good. just a ride on the elivator to the pool or dinner. Recomend a fax to the room Assigner 4 days b-4 you go to ask him to please look at your request for room needs . we got just what we asked for!!!!!!1
