More points than expected - does it need to go through ROFR again..?

Unfortunately our seller’s early May trip was canceled, which was the reason closing was deferred to mid-May. Their trip was booked with banked 2018 points on a June use year, now extended to December due to the pandemic.

Since the contract didn’t indicate these extra banked 2018 points, do we have to go through ROFR again before closing..?

Following. I have same issue - I made an offer, accepted and turns out they may have more points

Typically, yes, because as the buyer you are getting more points than what is in the contract, so it changes the deal, and Disney gets another chance to decide if it wants it with those new points.

However, talk to the agent because maybe with the transfer of ownership, this points can be allowed to expire, and not be part of the sale.

thanks!

I hope Disney has an easier solution here. If the points are “free” and on the table, I don’t want to let them just expire.

Absolutley...lets hope Disney doesn’t decide to make you go through ROFR again just to delay it and you don’t get them,

I think they have more problems on their hands! Keep us posted

I agree! And thanks!

After losing a ROFR in February, passing ROFR right after the pandemic really hit the US (and committing money I perhaps shouldn’t while also spending over current market value) and now this caveat, I am so over the resale process 😂
