First I want to thank all you sweet people that answered me in my first thread..I apologize for not getting back sooner but I lost my way..and kept thinking this was the DiZ discussion boards LOL
OK I finally got my little one some pins off ebay...So I enrolled in pinpics and set up my trade/ wants there.I emailed fellow traders with requests for trading some pins that I had and they had on there wants list..Now here is where my question comes in..I was met with 2 very rude responses. One person actually said are you serious to me..This has me quite discouraged to even want to begin trading..I am rather shy and sensitive and when I get a response like that it takes me a back :(
Now the pins I won off of ebay are official Disney pins. They say Sedesma and do not have a gold backing..could this be why..They aren't even characters my daughter likes..but I figured I got them at a low bid..just thought I could trade them for something my daughter wanted.Did I insult someone by asking to trade?I honestly did not mean to..Actually there was one trader who had over 400 pins and had one of mine on her wants list..so when I emailed her I asked if she wanted to trade mine for anything at all that had minnie or tink on it..and the replied was..ohh I don't think so..I guess I am looking on some imput on maybe if I did something wrong??Is there a place where there are friendly traders??LOLThanks for any advice

Sounds like you might have unintentionally offered a very lopsided trade. Pin trading isn't strictly a pin-for-pin deal like trading with a cast member from their lanyard. There are a lot of factors, such as edition size, origin, specific characters, and the ever popular supply vs. demand. Generally the Sedesma pins are cheaply made, fairly common, and not highly sought after.

Just out of curiosity, which pins did you offer and which pins did you want in trade? Knowing that, I could hazard a guess behind their reactions. PM me if you'd like.

Hi there
Thanks for answering my question..How I did it was I looked at there wants list..being I had the pins they wanted in there wants list I asked if they would be interested in trading anything that had Minnie Mouse or Tink.Homestly I don't know much about trading at all So I shouldn't offer any of the black backing pins at all? They are yucky ones LOL..I thought I was getting such a deal on ebay I paid 23.00 for a lot of 10..figuring even if its not my daughters favorites we can always trade them for ones she would like..I guess I just figured if they had it on there wishlist they would want to trade..and when I was met with such rudeness it kind of scared me away from pin trading..I appreciate any help you can give this discouraged newbie
