More Park Days than Nights at Hotel???

If I have a reservation for 1 night (at the end of our trip due to our off site stay), but purchased a package with 5 day tickets, do I have to wait for my check-in date to use my tickets/magic bands? Should I call and separate my package to room only?

If I have a reservation for 1 night (at the end of our trip due to our off site stay), but purchased a package with 5 day tickets, do I have to wait for my check-in date to use my tickets/magic bands? Should I call and separate my package to room only?

You can go to any Guest Relations and activate your package tickets up to 10 days before your check-in date.
If your only MagicBands are a part of this resort stay, you can just use the plastic tickets (Guest Relations will give them to you) for park entry and FP+ entry... until your check-in date.
(If you have any MBs from previous WDW trips, you can use them on this trip, if you like.)

So, there's no real need to book your tickets separately... but you CAN, if you like.
