More park breakfasts would be a win-win

Do you wonder why more park breakfast options have not been fully developed? I am patiently waiting for the BOG breakfast to be extended into August, and I see Crt and CP both near capacity, so extending BOG wouldn't cut those profits. If Disney is serious about maximizing capacity, it makes sense to get us early birds through rides before others arrive.

HS could easily extend the Star Wars breakfast, based on demand in June, and those of us with boys would love an Epcot option that does not involve princesses. Lumberjack breakfast in le Cellier? Why the same old breakfasts?

The early birds don't generally get through rides before others arrive. There have been some reports of people riding SDMT after BOG before rope drop crowd shows up, but many CP and CRT customers with 8:05 am reservations don't finish in time for rope drop.

Lots of people won't get up early enough on vacation to get to the parks in time for breakfast and if they do, many don't want breakfast to cut into park time which it does for most reservation times and any leisurely eaters. And let's be honest, a LOT of people don't like breakfast or prefer to grab a coffee and pastry or just a granola bar.

I agree that Star Wars breakfast could be easily extended, but I think Disney has wanted to keep it "special" for Star Wars Weekends. Epcot has Cape May Cafe within easy walking distance. Alternatively, you could do 'Ohana or Chef Mickey's and take the monorail. Or get a CS breakfast at Les Halles or Sunshine Seasons.

I agree that it would only serve a subpopulation, most want a quick breakfast on the go. The main draw I see is getting those first few hundred people through the gates, taking their main street pics, and to the back of a park, and selling breakfast at whatever price point and theme makes sense, in otherwise unused restaurants.

I wouldn't mind a few more CS breakfast options - breakfast sandwiches/hashbrowns. It would be nice to RD, hit a few attractions, grab a bite to eat & continue. No getting up an hour early for CS at the resort!

We are quite content with coffee and a bagel in our room before rope drop. The only time we ever do a sit down breakfast at WDW is on our final day if our flight is early enough that it would prevent us from any worthwhile park time. And then we dine at our resort (Boma, Kona Café, Whispering Canyon Café and Captain's Grille are our usual go-tos.) However, we can understand why more substantial breakfast eaters would prefer more park options to do their thing.

And then what? By your own admission, you're talking of a very small subgroup of guests only, and of those, only those looking for very quick, early pre park ADRs, so they are ready to get into the queues at park opening. Are they supposed to stock and prepare food, pay CMs, just for 30 minutes worth of dining? If Disney thought there was money to be made for more pre opening CS meals, you can bet they would have done it already. I'm pretty sure that most people wanting a quick bite for breakfast are either eating in their room or hitting their resort food court before arriving at the parks before RD.

I my paper plate Bounty Platter at Riverside. I would hit a decent high end breakfast at HBD.

Because of its opening ceremony, MK has a much different rope drop than it used to.

You used to be able to walk around Main Street get breakfast an hour (sometimes more) before rope drop to the rest of the park would happen. Now it's the running of the bulls. I greatly preferred the old system, I find the area where they hold everyone for the (IMHO, cheesy) opening show too small and cramped. I don't know why they don't just open Main Street and let those who want to sit through the show wait for it themselves.

The last thing I want before a day at a theme park is a big breakfast (usually heavy in starches and carbs...their cheap). I prefer to graze throughout the day (also starches and carbs, I;m no snob), only sitting for the occasional dinner.

I could eat breakfast food three meals a day, so I'm on board with more breakfast choices. Specifically, I think the Studios are at the bottom of the breakfast offerings at the moment. I don't think it would even need to be a lot, and not necessarily a pre-opening option, but I could easily see a breakfast pizza and some other basic pastries, fruit, etc., at Pizza Planet, as well as a new place in the hopefully-soon-to-be-expanded-Pixar-Place/Land that (in my feeble mind/imagination) would be called Mr. Potato's Head (or slightly less cannibalistic, Mater's Taters), complete with various potato options throughout the day (fries, tots, baked potato, sweet potato, etc.), including hashbrowns at breakfast. Offer a few "premium" toppings that would cost a little more maybe, but also a toppings bar (a la Pecos Bill or Cosmic Ray's) with some basic stuff to enhance the taters. Anyway, something new and unique but straightforward and not terribly complicated....and yes, I have thought about this way too much!

If they served mickey waffles in counter service locations in the park for breakfast I would truly consider myself #blessed.
