After seeing the gypsy at work at CHA yesterday and seeing all the cuts on the new carts in there books I want more than I ever thought. I wil try to upload some photos when I get a chance.
1st off the gypsy- very nice and easy to use- although I wouldn't have minded a larger screen- it is a nice size though and you couldn't fit a bigger screen on it. It will come out 1st at Micheal's exclusivly at the end of September. Though they did give out a few at the show- I didn't win though. They have 2 carts exclusively for them- the alphabet is a monogram style alpha with 2 styles to the letters I noticed- one in the letters with a flourish coming off of them- the other set has flourishes in the regular letter- think tiny vines on sections of the letter- nop flourishes on the shadow- it was thick enough to cut and be lifter fairly easily except at the smallest of sizes. The gypsy shapes cart is a basic shapes cart with lots of tags, circles, ect, and most of the are all with the option of scallops. It is being sold as being a deal for $299 as it has 2 carts ($80 worth each), design studio ($80) , and a jukebox functionality ($60)- so they say it is like only paying a little bit for the actual gypsy (yes I know hogwash but that is how provo is pushing it).
New Carts- 1st four will come out to the stores that get them as part of the gypsy promotion- thery will be out in September and in each package will be a chance to win a gypsy or as a grand prize a gypsy swap in various choice places around the world with 20 frineds (not sure how that works exactly but Orlando FL is a choice). Included in this are Everyday Paper Dolls, From My Kitchen, Sweethearts, and Winter Woodland. These will not be avaiable from places that don't do the contest until it ends the end of October is my understanding.
Everyday paper dolls- the cuts look amazing- lots of new faces for the dolls- sports dolls, career dolls, baby crawling and sitting dolls- very cute stuff and tons of things on iot- I definately will be adding this to my wishlist.
From the Kitchen- many kitchen items- I think the little wisk and spatcula set were on og my favorite items- also each item has layers to it along with words with a shadow as a feature. I think they may either have a card function or a circle as well- the words are in an oval when the cut. It also has tons of tabs and a number of recipe card (roladex style) options. Another on my must have list.
Sweethearts i didn't look at and they didn't have a book out for it that I saw- It was wedding and anniversary stuff I believe from what other said.
Winter Wonderland-= another font I loved- It was chuncky and had delicate cutout on the main letter as well as a shadow for it. The cuts were very cute and it had a few options (card/circle/ect).
Elmo comes out in October as well as the superhero ones I think. Elmo has some paper piecings of elmo as well as a font on it- it also has lots of things to make- the had party hats, crayon boxes, cupcake holders, and such on display fromt the emlo cartridge.
The superheros also did not have a book out so I didn't look at them although they did have some cute make and takes for them.
The Calander One is on my must haves- not only does it have all of the months and tons of holidays through the year- it also has numbers up to 31 in both words and numbers. It has an alpha that is in circle- each letter is in a circle, this is also how the numebrs are done. Each holiday has the words (sometimes it is like - Mom's day) as well as a mat for the words and a layered diecut for the holiday- dad's day has a tie, I don't really remember the rest off the top of my head.
I think those were all of them that I saw things on. I will try to upload the photos I have when i get a chance.
