I agree that if we had known we would have gone a week before or a week after as our dates are flexible across the summer too. However maybe it will be exciting and a story to tell later (fingers crossed)
Our plan on 7/24 and 7/25 is avoid it all together and focus on shows, meals, characters, etc., deluxe evening hours at MK.
At 7 AM on 7/24 I’m starting at the middle/back end of our trip cause at least the day guests/off-site and local APs won’t have access yet to those days past 7/27. It’s the only “advantage” I’ve been able to find… trying to be open minded and if need be, we will rope drop to do a headliner or 2, a couple of easier rides, and then go back to hotel, returning in the evening for another reverse rope drop of what we didn’t get to go on. Luckily our kids are old enough to stay up later now. Also I have come to terms with the fact that Tiana is just maybe gonna have to wait until the next trip depending how things go.
Side note- on DisneyDish podcast Len did say the code will roll over in the app at midnight. Holding out hope that maybe those of us with currently happening trips that week have even the teensiest head start?
