More Maclaren Questions

I am thinking of buying a Triumph. Some questions for you veterans.

1. Do you like the organizer that Maclaren makes for the back or do you prefer the saddle bags that I have seen mentioned? If you use either, do you have to empty them to fold it up?
2. Is there a cup holder for the child that can be attached?
3. Did you buy it off ebay? If so, would you share with me who you used? I see some good prices for new 2007 models.
4. Our other strollers have been a dark color. There is a really pretty pink or pink/charcoal one on ebay. Does anyone have experience with a lighter color? We leave our stroller in the trunk all the time, so I am not sure if that would make it really dirty or not.
5. Do you find you use the RayShade for everyday use or just for vacation?

I have a Triumph. I bought it at Babies R Us. If you use an organizer, you will have to take some things out to fold it (like drinks) but most of the stuff could stay in. Just watch that you don't drop anything. Also, you will have to use ankle/wrist weights on the front wheels if you are going to use an organizer on the back. It does tip over easily.

I don't use a cup holder for DD. I had a plastic one that clipped on and the thing was broke within a couple of weeks. My Triumph is light blue. It does get dirty pretty quickly. I wash is with Resolve (the carpet cleaner), warm water, and a brush. Works perfectly. I don't use a shade so I can't comment on that.

I would like to know the answer to number three as well. I have been looking at buying a quest for our upcoming trip, but I am very leary of spending that much money on ebay.

I just bought a Maclaren Quest from Albeebaby.com. I bought the 2006 pink one for 109.00 with free shipping and handling and no tax. It came in less than a week. It nearly killed me to pay that much for something I couldn't try out. But, we really like it. Lily seems to like it. I like that it has back support. I wanted an umbrella stroller with a little structure. Lily has Down Syndrome and seem to melt into a little blob in some of the cheap strollers we tried at toysrus. I wanted a smaller lightweight stroller that reclined and had support in the seat. That's exactly what the Quest does.

I am looking at that one, too. Not sure I want one that color, but it is such a good deal. I am just used to the dark ones, I think. I think we are going to go try out the Quest and Triumph at BRU this weekend and then decide which one we like best.

I love mine. I bought it off e-bay, but I don't remember from who. I think it was a place in NJ that sold last year's models. I got a great price b/c the colors were from the year before.

I bought the piece that attaches to the back with velcro. It is like a mesh bag with a small pocket and two cup holders on the top. I like the mesh bag and use that for extra space. The cup holders work for bottles of water that can be closed. I find if I put I cup of soda with a lid in it it spills when I walk.

I tried a lot of cup holders for my son before I found one that worked. I tried all of the ones that clipped on, but was unhappy with them. I found one that is almost like a mesh pocket that velcros onto the side. It is great. My son can easily get his drink in and out and it has never fallen off. It is called the Sorrento Carry You cup holder.

I just purchased a Maclaren Twin Triumph (which I LOVE) and the one thing I would like to tell you is be sure to buy from authorized Maclaren retailer. When I was looking for one, I almost purchased off of ebay - I'm glad I didn't. There are some who aren't authorized by Maclaren to sell their products, and Maclaren does not honor any warranties because of it. Even some websites are not authorized retailers. I called the Maclaren company (phone # on website www.maclarenbaby.com) and asked them if each website I was considering purchasing from was authorized. They told me of the companies NOT to purchase from and some from on ebay NOT to purchase from. I suggest you do the same before purchasing.

BTW, the price I got on mine was the same as if I would have purchased it off of ebay. The website I purchased from is www.doublestrollersetc.com . They even double the manufactures warranty on parts. Another athorized retailer with same price and double warranty was www.tinyride.com

I bought mine off of e-bay about 2.5 years ago. I had no problems. Just check the feedback and pay with paypal. I love mine, but the only thing I hate, is there is no cup holder for me! I have the organizer, which has cup holders, but they are terrible! For us, it was a great deal...and the great thing about a Mac is when you are done with it (if you take care of it), you can get a lot of your $$ back by reselling on e-bay or even locally! Just don't overload it with stuff and you will be fine!

1. I have the Maclaren organizer and love it. You don't need to remove stuff to fold it. I did use zip ties to attach it more permanently to our stroller b/c I was afraid of someone stealing it in WDW. That baby isn't coming off now, lol! It's still very firmly attached two years later .
2. I don't have one for the rider, but wow, I love that Sorrento cup holder that one of the pp mentioned! However, the shipping was outrageous! Anyone know if they carry these at BabiesRus? We dont' have one near us, but I'll be traveling up near one next week. I'd like to get two for our Quest! Found another website just now where I can get 2 for $20 w/shipping, Tots on the Go it's called.
3. I got mine from Babiesrus online, they kept sending me the wrong color Triumph and finally after the third one they upgraded me to the Quest free of charge.
4. I personally would not get a light color. OUrs is navy and it still shows some diry in the small lighter gray areas. I'm so glad we didnt' get pink too b/c we had another baby and it's a boy! It would really stink to have to buy another!
5. We use the Rayshade all the time. Definitely a must by w/the Maclaren b/c their shades are pretty useless! We LOVE it!

I have a techno and am looking at getting a quest as well I use this the Valco Baby universal cup holder and I did get it off of ebay. I can't post them on here but if you are interested I will pm you a link to their ebay page. Most stores sell them for 14.99 I bought two for 9.99 plus shipping. As for storage currently I use a small back pack but have been looking at getting a storage bag similar to the mac but w/out the cupholders in it.
