We finally got some ressies for Le Cellier for our Nov trip, yay!! This will be our first time and we still have some questions.

Does anyone know the size of the filets they serve at Le Cellier? And, do they serve the same size at lunch for 24.99 and at dinner for 34.99?

Also, do they have the Chocolate raspberry shake at lunch also, or only at dinner? I only see it on the dinner menu at Allears. I've also read some posters say they've been able to make that their beverage choice here, instead of pop or something. Anyone know about that? Normally I wouldn't want that but on DDP we could get one and share and share a pop or something. It just sounds really delicious!

Anyone have any thoughts as to best dessert available at lunchtime at Le Cellier? I love cheesecake, but was thinking choc. 'moose'. What is really awesome? Not that we'll be able to eat much with a big lunch, but...

Also, where in Canada is this, I can't even picture? Thanks!:goodvibes

We were there very recently for lunch...

The filet at lunch is smaller than that at dinner.

Yes, you can get the shake as your beverage choice, we did this.

The chocolate moose was very good which my DW and DD had and I enjoyed the chocolate whiskey cake.

The restaurant is located on the lower level... you take a trail to the right that wraps around to the entrance.

I hope you enjoy your meal there. I know that this place gets some good reviews, but this ended up being the biggest disaster of our 14 night trip!
Our server was absolutely horrible... the food was fine but not the best, so the the lousy service just made this a bad experience. Our favorite for a 1 table service location was Tutto Italia.

again.. hope you have a great meal there, and a great trip!

I had the steak sandwich at late lunch and it was tough to finish. We only ever taste the kids desserts here as we are usually too full for desserts.

We go to Le Cellier every trip, the filet w/ the risotto is very filling and delicious. Typical Disney, it's a very busy restaurant, a little loud and quite crowded. The servers are very busy but I've never had disastrous service that would ruin my dining pleasure.

Enjoy every bite, save room for dessert *I never can)

Maple Creme Brulle and I am not a creme brulle person...never had it before but tried some of my friend's last month and it was wonderful! :lovestruc

Any idea size wise? Like 6 oz lunch, 8 oz dinner?

Oooh, yum! We'll have to do this!

The lower level of what? I've been to Canada but don't remember seeing this restaurant at all! :confused3 Oh well, I know we'll find it!

Thanks, I hope we do too! I'm sorry you had such a bad experience here, that's no fun! Glad to hear about Tutto, though. We are also going there a few days later for dinner and can't wait, it sounds amazing!

Also, I'm considering paying OOP for the cheese soup and the pretzel bread. I think these are the ones I've read about as being so wonderful and we would split one order of each between the two of us. Good idea? I know we will be stuffed afterwards, but we won't be eating anything before this lunch so we'll suffer a little! ;)

Risotto or switch for the creamcheese mashed potatoes? Never had risotto and I like mushrooms.

I might try to convince DD to try the creme brulee even though we may not be able to eat much dessert, just because we've never had it and most people say it's great. I'd want the choc. moose and we could split:) !

Just had our 1st visit there...
Have to agree on the service.
We were told upfront by our waiter "it's too busy, I won't be able to give you good service today" :rotfl:
I did feel for the boy, but good service we did not have. He was nice though, just overextended.

Can't answer the size question.
I had the filet with the mushrooms...it was amazing! I don't like steak, but I loved this combination! Tried my husband's mashed potatoes...not quite as yummy as my steak with the risotto! Maybe it's because I've found that potatoes recipe on allears and made it at home, so it wasn't new :upsidedow

If you're in Canada, head towards the right and down past the beautiful gardens...have you seen the movie? Its in the same area. If you're going upstairs, you're in the wrong area.

And we were on DDP, but received the bread with our meals. Didn't have to pay OOP; so I assume it's included? Or do you mean to pay for the cheese soup. I gotcha.

Another complaint of mine: it was WAY too crowded in there. We felt like we were on display, and were practically elbowing the people at the table next to us. We were a party of 2, right in the middle with other tables of 2; there was not enough room between our tables for our server to get between tables (so not even a foot, it seemed). We could not have a conversation, and did not enjoy the atmosphere much at all.

Food was delicious! Probably enough for us to give it another shot. Hopefully we caught an "off" night and will have a better experience next time.

We ate their recently for lunch, and from what I remember the server saying, the fillet was 5oz for lunch

HTH

I had the filet for lunch a few weeks ago & it was about the size of the palm of my hand. They do have the shakes at lunch, and count as a beverage on the adult dining plan, but they are non-refillable like most Disney restaurants. My kids had the shakes & I had the mango smoothie which was excellent! As far as desserts I had the chocolate moose which was excellent. My son had the seasonal sorbet which was Cherry. It was soo good, but very tart & I don't know that I could eat much of it. My daughter had the best creme brulee ever! I was hesitant because it was maple flavor, but it was delicious. Le Cellier & Raglan Road were our favorite meals of the trip :thumbsup2

We have always had great service at LeCellier and it's always busy. The bread comes with the meal...you need not pay OOP for it (the soup, yes, you do--and we always do). Our two favorite desserts are: DH--the Chocolate Moose and for me the Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake). It was, as it has been the last three years, the best meal of our trip.
