Usually, we have been fortunate enough to book our trips so we can start at MK....and end at MK w/ Wishes. There's just something so special about that park.

I'm planning an impromptu trip in Oct. and it looks like we'll be starting at MGM (which has Fantasmic so that should be nice). But we might be ending w/ AK (no evening entertainment) I booked us dinner at 1900 Park Fare that evening. We've never eaten there before and I thought it might be "special". Also I'm thinking maybe we could walk to the beach at Grand Floridian and see Wishes that night after dinner. Our ADR is at 6:50 and Wishes is at 9pm that night. We could always do some pin trading if we had time to kill. Or ride the monorail around a bit. Can you see Wishes from GF? Do the pipe in the music? Then of course we have to hop on the Monorail and meet up w/ the crowds leaving MK for the buses back to our hotel. MK is open till 11pm but I'm sure many will still leave in droves after Wishes.

Another option is to add a night to our stay and conclude w/ MGM. (Not a good day for MK) Our children really LOVE Fantasmic so that might be good. But I don't know if we really need a 2nd full day at MGM. We aren't buying hopper passes this time around so it is a bit limiting.

i think the above plan w/ AK, 1900 PF and Wishes on the beach (if this is possible) should be nice.... Anyone have experiences they can share???

Thank you.

Yes you can see Wishes from the boat dock at GF, but they do not pipe in music. If you have park hopper passes, I would just hop on the monorail after dinner and watch Wishes from main street. If you don't have the park hopper option, it will still be a lovely ending to your trip. You have a great plan--dinner at 1900 Park Fare, walking around the grounds of the GF and watching Wishes from GF. Go for it!

Thank you. It will certainly be diff't for our family. And I think a nice ending. :goodvibes If they want to get closer we can always monorail over to MK and watch from outside the park. I know people do that sometimes to get a jump on the buses. But I think seeing them from the beach would be more special.

Every time that I end up changing the tradition, I find that I had just as good a time and memories as when I stuck with tradition. Whatever you do will be great and give you wonderful memories.

Thank you. I'm feeling better about this. Just didn't make sense to add a day for the sake of evening entetainment in a park. I really do think dinner at 1900 PF will be special and we've never toured the grounds at the GF or seen the FW from any hotel.
