So we've booked our tickets to fly, instead of driving like usual. Did pretty good too. Southwest, in to Burbank for only $510 (for three people). Not bad I thought.

So turns out we'll be getting there in the morning. Probably get to Hojo's around 10am. I'm okay with this because well, it's almost a whole extra day at DL! :) :dance3:

I just wanted to make sure they'll be okay with us parking there that early, and holding our bags? I'm pretty sure I've read that they are, but I didn't know if it was okay that early. I realize our room probably won't be ready!

Now they'll just have to get me on that plane! :scared1: No, I know this is better considering the resent health problems I've had. A 10 hour drive in the car wouldn't be good for me. But I don't like that much space between me and the ground!!

Yes, you can park and check-in that early. If they don't have your room ready, they will hold your bags for you in a bag room located in Bldg. 1.

In April we did a hotel switch, we checked out of our hotel at 9 am and went to the HoJo, checked in but left our stuff in the van, went back at 3 and picked up our key.

Yes, the are very accomodating. They will hold your bags before you get into your room. They will hold them for you the day you check out. You can swim as soon as you check in, and you can swim that day after you check out (which we plan to do because we have a late flight). They even have showers by the pool and were told we can change clothes in the bathroom near the lobby!

I have another question that I posted below but hasn't gotten any responses, so I'm going to jump in and add it here:

I read a lot about buildings 1 and 2, So, how come no one talks about buildings 3, 4, 5, or 6? Doesn't anyone stay in those buildings??

I have stayed in building 4 and I do recall the lack of elevator which would be a problem this time as I will have a stroller but no rental car to store it.

So, am I better off with a "garden pool" view in a building with an elevator? Possibly with a balcony? I had requested a ground floor room due to the stroller.

I also really only need one bed which seems to limit the room choice.

Any advice from the Hojo's pros? I'm a bit concerned about the pool view at building 2 being so much further to walk. LOL. Seems the only buildings with one bed rooms are 1, 2, or 3.

This is good to know! We're hoping to check in early enough to hit DCA at opening so it'll be like 8 - 8:30 am

Bldg 2 is a little farther walk but it's still not bad. The door to bldg 2 is at the back, that's why it's farther. I prefer bldg 1 but I've never stayed in the others.

Thanks Pixiewings.

Where are the elevators in Bldg 1 and 2? Are they in the center or one on each end of the building? Having to walk to the backside of bldg 2 seems like an extra long walk!

There aren't any stairs to get into any of the buildings are there? I keep picturing stairs in my mind to even get to the ground floor of building 3. But I'm hoping I'm wrong about that.

I thought of another question.

For building 1, are the undesirable highway rooms just at the far end of the building? Or are they all along the non-disney view side?

They are all along the non-Disney view side (freeway side).

The elevators are very close to the doors, for bldg 1 you just walk in and walk straight back to them, there are 2. In bldg 2 you walk in the doors and you're in front of the elevator, there is only one there. I always remember that because we were there in Jan. when it was pouring, we had 2 umbrellas, but when we left that night one of them blew inside out! LOL So we let the kids use the big nice one (that was then lost on a different trip to DL) and DBF and I walked in the rain, we got back that night and we were dripping all over the floor.....at midnight, and there were 2 guys sitting in the "lobby" area of bldg 2 reading the newspaper...NO clue why they were there but they were looking at us like we were insane.....LOL that memory cracks me up......

I never looked for stairs but I'm sure they are close to the elevators.

Thanks for the info.

Now I'm not sure I want an "upgrade" to bldg 2. Not sure what I want. I just want the darn hot tub to be open when I'm there! I'll even take the freeway noise for some hot tubbin. LOL.

Another question: can anyone here "drive" the hojo's webcam? I just tried to zoom in on the pool area to see if anything's going on. But I can't figure it out! I think I saw a cement truck. Or was a halucinating. :D

LOL! Yes, you can drive the webcam. I tried to do the same thing earlier today but all I could locate was a wall! :rotfl2: I think we were both over on the HoJo board earlier today and are in agreement on the hot tub and the need for the older kids to have a place to swim while the adults are soaking their weary bones! But, all in all, it's hard to complain because we love the HoJo and the Entertainment Rate. Counting the days until we're there.......

Does anyone know if there are elevators in the building that has the king suite and the queen suite? I think we will need an elevator
