more Hojo questions, sorry!

I have been researching the many Hojo posts on this board and I have seen that a lot of people recommend building 2. Are there king bed rooms in that building? I don't want to request it and then feel dumb if they say there are none in that building.

Also, I tried to book on the website just now with the entertainment rate code and after I entered my info it said "Rate not available." I know the ent. rate is available on ALL of my dates because I checked on the hojo board. Anyone know what's going on? I guess I should just call in-house res. :confused3 I was trying to avoid talking to an actual person lol

For some reason, that's what the website is doing lately. Another person along with myself had the same problem. I plan on calling in-house reservations tomorrow and I will mention this to them. It seems our only choice at this point is to call them and make the ressie that way. I was also trying to avoid calling them by making the ressie online, but I guess that's not going to work. As far as the king beds, I don't know what bldg. they are in because I've never requested one. I hope everything works out with your reservation.
 
Definitely call the hotel directly, and ask for IN HOUSE reservations (not the national reservation line), Mon-Fri 9-5 pacific time. Jennifer and Lorealle are so friendly and helpful. They will get you set up with the best deal possible, take any room requests, answer questions. Much better than trying to talk to the website. :thumbsup2

Building 2 has one king bed in their "NK1" rooms.

In building 2:
NK1: 1 king bed
NQQ2: 2 queen beds
SNQ1: 2 queen beds and 1 queen sofa sleeper

Like avalon451 posted above, talk to the "In House" reservations people. They are the experts, and they are very helpful and friendly. :thumbsup2

When you use the code online, it has a problem with multiple days. You sometimes can't do it at all, and sometimes if you just go day by day with the code you can do it that way. But then you should call them anyway to link the reservations, so I'd just call 'em.

And I totally understand you not wanting to talk to a person; I like doing things online as well.
 
I had the exact same problem while trying to book our room at the Entertainment Rate online a couple of weeks back. I called in house reservations, spoke to Jennifer & we are now booked! :thumbsup2 I too was trying to avoid talking to an actual person but Jennifer was so pleasant & helpful......it wasn't traumatic at all! lol
 
Funny how different people are. I prefer to talk to a real person every time. In fact, even when I book on-line, I always call the actual hotel (any hotel, every trip) to confirm everything with a live person. I guess I just trust real people better, although I do like email confirmations!

Putting in one day at a time usually works when you have to see which day is "holding up" the entire reservation at the ent. rate, but in this case, it isn't working. I tried it day by day and every day came up with the ent. rate separately, so that doesn't seem to be the problem. But when you make your ressie for multiple days, right before the last page comes up (after you've already put in your credit card info. etc.), it lists all the days on the ressie and all the days are showing with the ent. rate next to them. The problem occurs when you get to the final page and it says "Rate Plan not available" even though on the page before every day showed up with the ent. rate. So, I'm not sure what is causing it, but I'll call in-house and make the ressie that way. I don't mind calling and talking to someone at all....It's just easier to make the ressie on-line because I can do it in the evening after "in-house" ressies are closed. :)

I'm glad that you ended up getting your reservation squared away, but how frustrating for things to change overnight like that as far as the ent.dates. Hopefully, that day will become available again later. :) The same thing happened to me today as far as being on hold forever. I finally had to hang up too. I'm going to try again tomorrow and I hope nothing changes overnight. I know it wouldn't happen, but it would be nice if they would give us any days that change from the ent. rate overnight as we did try to book it online and it wouldn't go through. We'll see what happens tomorrow. :)

You're welcome. :hug: It just seems that since the date was available online when you tried and it didn't go through (no fault on your part), that it would be nice if they offered you the same rate when you called them. Oh well.....Maybe they aren't able to do that, but it would be nice. :) I was able to make my ressies today and got the ent. rate for the entire stay! (Actually I made 2 ressies because I'm not sure of our dates, but I was able to get the ent. rate for every day of both the ressies!). My dates weren't until October and December, so that helped. The person I spoke to (Jessica) was very rude and snippy though, and I will never make one through her again. It kind of put a damper on my making the ressie at that moment because I was very excited to be planning another trip and wanted this part of it to be fun or at least pleasant. Oh well, at least I have the reservation done with and I got the great rate. I am thankful for that. This has been a terribly hard time for me as I lost my DM a little over a week ago, so we really need something wonderful to look forward to. :)

Thanks for the kind words. They really touched my heart. :hug: My family is going through so much at once. We also lost my younger DS 6 months ago, and my other DS just had major surgery for cancer (2 weeks ago), the week before my DS passed away. So, yes, life is extremely hard right now. We will really need and appreciate our upcoming trip when it occurs. And I think you're right.....my Mom would want us to go and have a good time. I really appreciate your saying that. :) I hope that you have a wonderful trip too and hopefully the ent. rate will come back for the day that you need. :)

I hope your son is holding up well with his recovery and cancer treatments. :hug: I imagine your life is in so much turmoil that planning a trip helps to take you out of your life for a few minutes. I hope you are holding up, too. Enjoy your trip and the planning. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. :flower3:

Yep I had dealt w/ both Leanne and Jennifer. They were both so helpful and kind. Then I called and got Jessica. Can't say she was rude or short w/ me but she did not compare to the great service I got from the other two.

Oh my gosh....I feel terrible for this misunderstanding. I should've thought more about what I was saying, but I was not feeling well at all yesterday when I wrote my last message. The DS's that I was referring to were my dear sisters, not my sons. I have one son and he is thankfully okay. I know that is what is always referred to as DS, but I guess I just wasn't thinking. Again, I am SO sorry about this. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for my family.

And this is one of the reasons I love Hojo (and I have not even been there since the 80's). Even on the odd occasion that someone recieved less then stellar service it always seems to be addressed.
