When you use your DDE card do they ask to see your annual pass? Do they ask to see your ID? Does the card have your name and address and age on it? Why do they ask your age when you apply for the DDE card ? Did anyone pay the extra $25.00 for the spouse card? My annual pass expires soon and I don't know if I will renew it. I want to get the DDE card before my annual pass expires but I don't know if I will have to show my AP when using the DDE card. Sorry for all the questions

I was never asked to show my AP when I used my DDE last year. But I am curious to know this as well....

We've never been asked to show our AP but I believe they can ask for ID to make sure it is your card if you are paying cash. We always pay by room charge or cc so the name on the key matches the DDE so... I don't know if they'd question it otherwise.

Not sure why they ask age.

THe $25 extra for 2nd card only started recently. When we got ours in June the 2nd card was free. I'm guessing people were abusing this & that's why they charge extra. DH & I never eat seperately so we really don't need a 2nd.

We were asked to show Fl driver's license prior o them opening it up to AP holders...but we used it all last weekend and no one asked for a thing!

I've never had to show ID. We had one card in my name and one in my husband's name. One time my daughter and I went to breakfast without my husband and I forgot my DDE card but I remembered his was in this little pouch thing in the stroller. So I gave his to the waiter which obviously had a male name on it and they didn't ask any questions. I thought they weren't going to let me use it and then they didn't even say anything.

We also have never had to show ID. We didn't have to pay the extra when we got ours for the second card, but I don't think next time we will as we always eat together anyway.

When we used the card a few weeks ago, we were not asked for i.d. However, on two occasions, the card was collected by our server before the discount was applied.

I've never been asked for ID either, but they do take the card to apply the credit. I use my credit card to pay, and the names agree.... so I guess in a way that's ID, put not picture.

During our Christmas trip, we were asked to show our AP's nearly every time we used our card. Prior to that trip, we had only been asked one or two times each trip.

Funny....we were there at Christmas and were never asked to show our AP pass. However, we were staying on property and charging to the room. The name on the room key and the DDE card agreed.

We used it for the first time at Jiko Saturday night. I gave them my card and my license because that's what the card said. On Monday we used it at LeCellier and I left my ID in the safe and was not asked for my AP or ID. I did, however, charge it to the room.

The only time I was asked for ID was when I didn't have the actual DDE card, just the letter saying I would be getting one. This was last spring, shortly after they opened the card up to AP'ers and not just FL residents, and apparently they were inundated with requests and it took a long time to get the actual card. Once I had the actual card, I was never asked for ID or the AP. I don't think the card holder would be asked for the AP, because at the time I ordered mine, I asked if my expiration would still be a year since my AP would not be active for the full year and I was told the DDE card was valid for a year from when it was purchased, regardless of AP expiration, I just needed the valid AP to be eligible to purchase the card. I used the DDE for two trips with the AP and thought that would be it, but I ended up planning another trip for my DD's birthday since she was off school a few days. I will be using the DDE card for this trip in two weeks, but my AP expired in November.

We never had to show any ID when using our card last October--and we dined out at a different restaurant (7) every night and had breakfast every morning (at 5 different spots). Oh--and one lunch.

Sidebar to your quote: Without a doubt the white sand at Siesta Key Beach is the best that I have ever experienced. I feel sorry for all those beach lovers out there that have never had this opportunity. Once you lay on that sand, nothing comes close.

My DH had an annual pass that was valid from Feb 2005 - 2006. We purchase a DDE card but waited a little while to get it. Our DDE cards (we got the spouse card for free) expire on May 31. A lady at Disney Reservations told me that we wouldn't be able to use it because the annual pass had expired. I don't think this is true because the expiration date on the actual card is May 31 (We will be going May 22-30). I don't remember ever showing the AP last year when we used it. They just swiped the card and that was about it.

I have been asked for ID nearly every time but have never been asked for my AP. My AP expires before my DDE but that does not affect the DDE.

I wonder if people who are being asked for ID pay cash. I have used muy DDE card many times, always charged to the room and was never asked for ID.

We've never been asked for ID. We've never paid with cash using it. We've used DDE while not staying on property and still weren't asked for ID.

Have never been asked for any ID except the DDE card.
