More crowded than normal first week of June?

Was last week more crowded than normal for the first week of June? Except for Thursday it seemed more like October crowds to us.

Much busier this week than last year. You could tell people were taking advantage of the 5 for 3 deal. The weekdays had alot more people.

I haven't been to DL the first week of June for quite a few years, but went last week for my birthday. Monday and Tuesday were a LOT more crowded than I remember for that time of year, way more than I was expecting.

Here now and so happy to be here. This place is PACKED! I am amazed at how many people are here today. There are more here today than were here on Saturday if you can believe that. Disappointing for us but still having fun. Just not able to do so many rides.

We were there last week also. I was thinking that it might have been more crowded Sunday through Wednesday because it was some of the last few days before the SoCal AP holders were blocked out for awhile. All in all, we had a great time. We arrived at opening each day and were able to ride several rides before noon. We even got our own private boat for Pirates and our own private train ride on Casey Junior.

My friend went Last Friday said the place was NOT that crowded go figure she's a PAP holder so she knows the crowd levels pretty well

Friday was not crowded hardly at all. We had no line for the Birthday ticket for my sister, no line to get in, and the longest wait of the day was 30min for peter pan. Many rides were under 5 min, definitely a good day! We're deluxe ap's and this was the least crowded we've seen it in months.

Wed. Thurs. Fri. Last week were quite uncrowded to me. We were able to ride everything and food lines were pretty much nonexistent. Loved it!

Last week was more crowded than I expected but still had pretty good wait times. Last Friday was a very low crowd day but the weather was predicted to rain all day and set record levels for rainfall- but it didn't rain at all and I think the bad weather prediction kept alot of folks away. Saturday was also low in the morning but picked up by the evening.

We were there last year June 3-5, 2008, and I thought it was pretty crowded. More crowded than I anticipated, but not nearly as crowded as our visit in October, 2007.

I think it's the So Cal AP crowd.

Me being one of them, I went last Monday with by 2YO. It was miserable by 11 and horribly crowded.

Went yesterday afternoon and today with the whole family (DH, myself, DS10, DS7 and DS2) and it was unbelievably crowded, especially today.

Knowing that it was going to be crowded and that we were staying at the Grand Californian, I did a lot of research on this board. Boy, was the family amazed at the way I moved them around the parks, avoided the lines, and rode rides several times in a row.

Still, with the stroller the crowds became unbearable at DL, and we retreated back to DCA with FPs in hand to round out the afternoon!

I thought it was more crowded than normal too. Is it the 3 for 5 pass, the So-CAL pass, or is it the Birthday pass... Which ever, it was too crowded for me... I still LOVE the place, but I don't like it so crowded

We were there Thursday through Monday. I thought Sunday and Monday were way crowded. We have a trip planned for August but if this was just the beginning of the summer crowds . . . kind of dreading it since I'll have 4 kids with me on that trip.

It was a good trip though. Lots of fun and lines for rides weren't to bad. The Thursday and Friday seemed less busy to me and we got a lot of rides done on those days.

Yep! I agree. And Fri morning in Calif Adventure was dead! especially in the peer area. My kids just went from ride to ride and we got some pics too.

We didn't go to either park Sat. Used Magic Morning on Sun which was great and then went over for the opening of CA. Sun afternoon got much busier IMO and Monday busier than I expected.

I just got back (so sad!) and saw quite a lot of school groups Monday and Tuesday. I knew Wednesday was a Grad Night b/c the park was closing early for them. During the day it was packed, but it seemed that most of the school groups left by 9pm or so, so the lines on rides till midnight were much better.
