I was planning our trip using the UOG and then decided to sign up for tourguidemike. I think I am changing our whole trip! The days i had planned out with UOG did not really match up with what TGM suggests! What would you do? I am mor econfused than ever and we leave in 14 days!!!! Which do you prefer, UOG or TGM?? Any thoughts would be appreciated. :confused3

We just did the same thing!!!! We have changed 5 of the 7 park day/evening plans. I only had to change 2 ADRs so that wasn't a big problem but I am soooo happy with my changes. I think I have a more "sane" plane now and don' t feel like we are going totally comando. What I love about TGM is that I really understand why I am going where, when and what I am going to do when I get there. He also really enmphasizes the relaxing part of the plan and I think we are really going to like that too!!!

Go ahead make a few changes and have a great trip!!!!!

I would really look at all the info you gather from everywhere. Then make plans based on what you want after educating yourself. Ultimately I wouldn't put my eggs in one basket and rely on 1 sole planning source.

Hi, I don't know what "UOG" is, but I used Tour Guide Mike two years ago in July 2003, and I have to say that with only one exception, we didn't stand in line for more than ten minutes for any ride or attraction. And the exception was only because we had not planned on going on that particular ride in advance. Had I planned for it, we wouldn't have had to wait. Still, for the week that we were there, to only wait for one attraction during the busy summer season, I feel was a huge success! :cheer2:

His tips are great, in terms of itineraries.

The only thing I have a slight disagreement about is in terms of how much stuff to schlep in to the parks. He has a packing list, which makes sense, but if you pack everything he says to, that backpack gets to be a big drag when you're carrying it around all day in the heat. That being said, pack much of the lighter things he suggests carrying (like disposable ponchos). I had these packed when a sudden and strong thunderstorm downpour :umbrella: occurred, and it kept me, my husband and stepdaughter from getting totally soaked before we were able to get indoors. The other useful thing he says to carry is a towel. We found bath towel to be too cumbersome, but a handtowel or two was quite handy (no pun intended!).

Good luck planning your trip! I wish I was planning my own right now.
